Get Ready With Me as I put on my Twi'lek cosplay for Star Wars Day. I start out this vlog by putting on the basis of my costume. Next I get started with the purple body paint. Then I move on to doing my makeup. And I finish my adding my lekku and additional accessories. Links for the belt skirt and the pauldron seen in this video are below. Thank you so much for watching. Gee, thanks : ) I actually discovered it by accident! I was going to use stuffing, but then I realized that I had so much hair and that it kinda already looked like lekku. So I tried it and it worked out!

I'm just starting to watch videos and reading tips for making a twi'lek cosplay and you make it look so easy! They all suggest very expensive material, but all of the things you use are easier for me to get and looks good, so that gets my hopes up! Also, your hair is BEAUTIFUL!

What is awesome, is that I was doing it for children, and children are so easy to impress. They loved it. They liked the store brought Kylo Ren more though ( not that I am judging that, it is just that I spent so much more time on my costume than he did, and I know because he was my husband). But the 501st thought it was cool so that made my day!

I straight up cackled over 'water from the faucet'. You look so good! The eyes are particularly lovely. Question though, does the body paint make the costume hot to wear?

Hey! When I wear body paint, it doesn't make the cosplay hot to wear. It's like you're bear skin. I hope I could help, even if you posted this comment three years ago😅

So wish I had the body to try this! I'd go as a blue Twi'lek since that's my fave colour. Not that we seem to have any vidcons in NZ here where I live. Mind you I've never actually searched up about it. I'd have to say that Twi'leks are my fave species in the Star Wars universe. I have my own child character Twi'lek named Taama but she's hot pink and is Ahsoka's padawan if she were to stay training as a full Jedi. I wish she did! Oh and great video by the way. It's interesting to see different techniques in Twi'lek cosplay costumes and body paint.

I make my costumes to cover the parts of my body I'm less confident about. Also when you are blue or purple, people tend to be distracted from other parts of your body. Twi'lek for me are one of the most beautiful species. I am learning more about other species and I also really like the Miraluka (they are a force sensitive eyeless species) I just think they are really cool! And that would be an awesome story line if Ahsoka didn't leave the Jedi. I do wonder what would have happened. Would she have been able to pull Anakin back from the dark side? Would she have been killed by Anakin? Would she become one of the most powerful Jedi? And thank you so much for your comment.

That is just me : ) I could NOT handle wearing contacts or anything touching my eye ball. I think I would die if I needed to put contacts in...It would make for a very awkward "get ready with me" video ha ha

how do you make the thing that covers your hair next year or another convention this year I want to be a tent year old Sith twi lek im ten by the way and a huge star wars fan

Hello there! Are you talking about the white thing or the purple thing? The purple thing is basically a pair of purple leggings. Choose what color Twi'lek you want to be and you can go to the store and find a pair of leggings that are that color. The white thing that covers my head, I took some craft foam (you can get it from Walmart) and cut out a rectangle that was long enough to wrap around my head. Then I used a smaller rectangle to connect the front to the back. Thank you for the comment!
