Friendly advice, killing civilians deducts you 50 Mercers, however killing guards deducts you zero

Quick tip for creating poisons: by repairing the lab kit in the shed with a wrench, (found inside the garage by the garage door,) you can turn that sedative mushroom into a lethal poison vial. Likewise, if you catch a fish at the dock, (the loot from fishing is random, but the activity is repeatable, so you can just keep trying until you get one,) you can take it and any knife to the cutting board in your kitchen to create a vial of sedative poison. Neither the lethal nor the the sedative vials you create can be stored in your tools; however, the modern syringes you can create from them in the infirmary *can* be stored, saving you both time and money if you're lacking those items. (Also, for future reference: at some point [lvl. 64, I think?], you will unlock the ability to craft a makeshift explosive in your garage using a fuse and some gunpowder, both of which become available in that room after a previous upgrade. This explosive takes up no space in your inventory, and is great for blowing safes as an easy prestige objective.)

The “silent takedown” requires the person you take down to not be spotted for about 3 seconds, that’s why there’s a delay. Otherwise it wouldn’t be a “silent takedown” And the “hide target bodies”, despite not saying it, requires you to not have the body found. Love the freelancer content, this won’t ever get old (at least for us)

New York - dress as the bunny bankrobber while robbing the vault. Once you grab all 7 goldbars, a pile of gold spawns in the middle of the room, and you get the golden shotgun for free. Also, there's about 4500 mercers in the room, regardless of easter-egg.

If you have an unalerted Sapienza available, ALWAYS save it for last so it’ll be your showdown level. It’s by far the easiest map to do a showdown on, with 4 sniper perches you can use to spy on the suspects, easy-to-access disguises, and plenty of quiet spaces to use to set up a plan of attack.

Pro tip from experimenting. On alerted territories, the AI is different and if you leave bodies unhidden long enough eventually an NPC will break their cycle and wander to the bodies.

A few tips Mooney. For showdowns. If you get a sniper rifle you can shoot near a suspect and cause them to flee, if it's the correct target you'll get a notification from Dianna that they're fleeing so you know its the right one. Mendoza is a good map for this as you can take out the sniper team. "Neutralise a lookout" means kill them, knocking them out is not enough. You cannot hide an unconcious suspects body. Suspect tells, foodie will eat a meal whereas sweet tooth will eat a snack. If you have these tells there WILL be something you can poison. Suspects always have 2 tells, if a suspect displays a tell that is not on the list that's not the one you need to kill. Suspects can have multiple meetings, pay attention to the meeting criteria. "Earrings" as a visual clue can mean only 1 earring. Save the map you know best for the showdown. Do not have the showdown on an alerted territory. Avoid Colarado like the plague for showdowns. And more general tips. Poison dart guns DO count for the poison a target objectives and DO NOT count as firearms BUT will fail the perfect shooter prestige objective if you miss a shot. NPCs cannot hear unsilenced gunshots as long as there are 2 closed doors between you and them and no open windows. For example you can shoot inside the bathroom of 47s suite in Japan and no one hears it, shoot in the main room and they will. Rob the vault on New York for extra money, pull the data core for even more. "Hide target bodies" is literal, the body must be in a container or dumped out of the map. "No bodies found" is literal, you don't have to put them in a container, they just need to be undiscovered when you leave All gear that has rarity can be taken back to the safehouse, keep this in mind if a loot crate has 3 items you don't really care about, might as well pick one you can take with you. Buying an item from a supplier removes it from the suppliers inventory. Buying the useless stuff increases your odds of getting good stuff next time. The reward box after the mission always contains 1 explosive, 1 poison and 1 tool. So if you want something specific (like a seiker) keep picking poisons so there's less for the game to pick from to offer next time.

My favorite way to fail objectives is when someone apparently sees you doing something and you get compromised. Except somehow they didn't actually see you so it goes back to just searching. Still counts as being compromised.

I think 'Perfect Shooter' should count for hitting objects that complete objectives such as killing targets or cameras. You actually hit what you were aiming at, and got an objective done. People mentioned going to bank to check out the vault, wondering what's in there. Hope to see more soon.

I find the wrench from the garage is always part of my starting gear. It's so useful for distracting NPCs as well as a non-lethal takedown! It also doesn't cost anything as it's just a normal wrench that lives in your garage, so you never lose it either if you forget to pick it up or whatever.

The driftwood log is useful for getting a free suitcase when you start the mission without having to bring a large rifle, you then can put remote explosives or poisons in the briefcase and detonate when the target is close to or carrying the case

Time Trial can be really good because you only have to get the targets in the time. Once eliminated, you can take as much time as you want roaming the level. The more targets the better, because it gives you more time for each target. If there's 1 target, you might have 1 minute 50 to cross the whole map and if the other objectives are "never spotted" and "fiber wire" then it's just torment. If there's 4 targets though, you have almost 8 minutes to take the fastest route connecting them and can do side objectives on whoever's the most convenient.

I love this mode so much. After playing over 400 hours in Hitman 2, i haven't touched Hitman 3 since its release, for some reason i got tired of the gameplay. But Freelancer made me come back and i just can't stop. I played over 30 hours in the last week, its insane. Oh and of course i love watching you play it, Scottish Hitman is always a delight!

Loving the vid so far. A little tid bit about the knockout prestige objective, you need 3 seconds without anyone noticing before it counts as a silent takedown. It says it in the objective description. You needed at least 4 seconds to knock that last guy out before the timer reset. Hope that helps.

Here's a great tip for showdown missions: If a map you're on has a great sniper advantage point, you can just snipe the floor next to each suspect twice to panic them and it'll either do nothing or it'll trigger a sound effect and voice line from Diana saying your target is escaping. When you hear that, just snipe whoever triggered that audio. Simple! WORKS BEST ON MENDOZA!

Your suit-only runs are crazy good. I find the "that's always how I get a disguise" funny, too! For NY, going down the stairs on the right, to the tech room (where the nerds are playing kane and lynch, or whatever) is my favourite route.

In New York you can crack the big ass safe in the basement of the bank, just as in the story mission. It gives you quite a few mercers and some rare/epic melees 🤘

If you have the shed unlocked (edit: never mind) you can cook a mushroom near it (has 3 spawns, like the coin) and get a weightless poison. Especially in 4 Target missions it is really nice to use it and see the kill pop up while you are going for the next.

For “hide target bodies” they simply mustn’t be found. You don’t actually need to put them in a box/dump them, as long as they’re in a secluded area (like the one on top of the castle)

This game mode is brutal. I don't understand why you lose your tools when you fail a mission. However, with some practice it's pretty easy. But even then, shit happens. I was on my second to last contract, in Paris, and my target was behind a locked door. I remembered I picked up an explosive gold ball. So I chuked it at the door, the target died, and a chandelier landed on my head 😂 Never saw that coming Also, in Darthmoor you had a target and a colateral under a chandelier the whole time 😂

You lose 20 credits for every non-target you kill. So there is a small downside to killing recklessly.

If you're ever not sure about the specifics of a certain objective you can press the button that toggles like ur map and all to look at the description of each obj for "better" clarification.

In New York in the the room with the two guards connected to the main lobby. there's a switch on the wall of the far side of the room which turns off the camera observing that area (the one you couldn't shoot). that's kinda good to know for freelancer. Keep up the good content.

I just noticed that on Dartmoor, Mooney could’ve got the collateral accident by shooting the chandelier in the bathroom. At 37:12, you can barely see it while he’s using instinct.

I keep New York for my showdowns, because no matter where you start, you can take out the guard in the first floor bathroom and get a security key, head upstairs to the third floor, get a keycard, gas the guards in the basement, and I use the npcs in the basement to clear out all the guards. I place weapons on the ground and they go get a guard to put the weapon away in the downstairs security room, by the it room. I wait there and then I’ll the guard, dragging them into the room. Eventually all the guards are taken out, assassins too because they are coded like guards

Tip: i'd suggest getting collectors items as they dont disappear like all your tools do so if you lose a campaign real bad you can at least have a backup sieker

Also, you can obtain free poison from the mushrooms around the yard and from a fish using a scalpel. You can then make free syringes in the infirmary with said poison and you can keep those syringes for free

It is kinda strange the no-disguise condition pays only 1000. It is the hardest complication on every map.

Love the new intro! Freelancer has pretty well killed it for me. It's taken a lot of the fun out of it. I got an explosion kill in the first floor of the Embassy in Marrakesh. No one saw me, but I went upstairs to hide in the bin in the janitor's closet until everything cooled off. Door closed, in the bin and some guard saw me through a solid wall and all combatants converged on me. Second campaign, third stage, showdown mission on Ambrose Island. I appear right next to a supplier. Got spotted by a lookout while _in_ the supplier's menu!!! Entire map goes 'cockroach with the lights on' all combatants converge on me and I loose my silverballer, the Tuatara I brought, and the Ghost I'd just bought. That was three weeks ago. Haven't played it since. And this video is the first thing I've had to do with Hitman in that time. And I'm only watching it because it's yours. Thank you!

Obligatory "did not watch entire video yet", but just a note on the hide target bodies objective: I was having so much trouble trying to get one body to a container (like you were) that I decided to check the objective more closely. You don't need to actually hide the bodies. You just need to not have any body spotted, so leaving them in an abadoned corner or some out of the way shrubbery is good enough. Heck, even leaving a body and getting out before the body gets seen is good enough.

Massively late advice (and someone will most likely have mentioned this already) but, if you place/drop a bag of gunpowder on the floor you can shoot it to make it explode. Good way to quickly get through that damaged wall to the lab in Sapienza. You can also pick up a bag of gunpowder from the garage in the safehouse, though it's quite heavy from what I remember

MY SUMMER CAR. I don’t know if you’re much into cars but it doesn’t matter, this game is so insane with its complexity and the humor is PERFECT for this channel. It’s the kind of game where when you ask the question: “I Wonder if I can…”, the answer is usually yes. It’s the type of game where the developer is more clever than the player. I wish I could list reasons you’d love this game but the surprises would be comedy gold for this channel.

The Wrench you need to fix the poison station in the shed is in the garage on the right of the door(which you can also permanently open from the inside btw) and I suspect you can use said poison to make a Syringe in the infirmary. I know that you can't drop the poison you make in the shed and from what I've done, it seems you can make a new poison every mission, I haven't unlocked the syringe equipment yet, but I suspect that'd be an easy way to not have to take lethal syringes from the case on a mission anymore if you can just make your own.

God roll loadout: 1) lockpick 2) any quiet gun 3) tranq guns! Both if possible but the emetic version is such a demon for this mode.

some freelancer advice mr mooney, if you go outside and fish, you can get a fish and bring it to the kitchen (make sure to have a knife). if you do this you can get a free poison from the fish that takes up no gear slots, which is very nice.

Agreed. Do not change disguise should just be called suit only. You literally aren't IN a disguise when you start a mission in Freelancer. xD Also kinda wish you could store a disguise in a briefcase. But that'd probably be OP to some extent. lol

I know I’m kinda late, but a really useful trick I found for showdowns is that if you find a prime suspect secluded you can shoot your weapon around them without hitting them. If Diana then yells at you saying the leader is escaping, then you found your target, if not, based on my experience they won’t alert the actual leader and will escape alone

Big tip I found is put in as much effort as you're getting paid for. If they don't pay for silent assassin only kill targets then kill anyone inconvenient. Civvies are -50 money each but thats nothing. Be brutal and aggressive and quick.

It isn’t illegal to take money from a safe, it’s only illegal when you try to open it. Objectives with rarity requirements will also be completed if you kill the target with a rarer weapon than what is required. Also, the “no combat” one is broken if you shoot someone while they’re in view of someone else. It’s stupid, but that’s freelancer.
