THE PRAYER OF SALVATION
“HEAVENLY FATHER, I come to you in the name of JESUS. I acknowledge to YOU that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; and I recognize that I need YOUR forgiveness.

Literally ALL of this! God has been working on this exact thing in me. I gave up social media a month ago today because I picked social media over Jesus every time. It was a true problem. I’m thankful for God’s correction and I’m thankful I’m sensitive enough to those nudges now to be obedient….even when it sucks. lol. I miss social media and feel like I’m missing out on everything BUT I love Jesus more so it’s worth it.

It gets easier with time, my fellow sister in Christ! I too gave up (most) social media, but around the end of last year. I can say now that I feel no inclination to download the apps back! And I truly never thought I'd get to this point. God bless and I hope God continues to strengthen you as you devote more time in His Word!! 🤍

Amen!!! Same here, I recently deleted instagram and Facebook. It doesn’t suck as much as I thought it would BUT some days I do feel like I’m missing out. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said you talk to me but you don’t know me. So I’m trying to use this fasting time to read the word.

I can hear the Holy Spirit soooooo clear now in even the smallest of things that I’m certain I would have missed in the past. I’m so thankful for the growth and the Lord constantly leading me. ❤️❤️

This literally happened to me lastnight. Im addicted to youtube, weed, cigs this video came RIGHT ON TIME. I let my son use my phone lastnight and i didnt have anything to do so i said i wanna read my Word. Yall an hour went by and i felt so at peace. Fed. And absolutely ready for bed. Best night of sleep i had in so long. Jesus wants our true relationship, our full devotion to Him for He is a jealous God. Thank you for sharing this sister

I don't think she said idolizing your phone isn't a sin. Idolizing anything is a sin, but she's saying that simply checking your phone isn't a sin but it can hinder us. Of course if it hinders you so badly that you're always on your phone then you need to realize that you are idolizing your phone and you're sinning.

The devil is gonna send distractions when we spend time with the Lord. When he knows that we are getting closer to God he gets scared and desperate. He will do anything to hinder us. That is why we must always pray against distractions in Jesus' name. Deny your flesh always and feed your spirit. The stronger you are in Christ the easier it will be for us to discern.

This was so timely for me as I’m actively working on keeping my time with God sacred and uninterrupted. My mind tends to wander while I’m praying then my flesh would itch to respond to my messages, socials etc. So God help me keep my eyes on you and make my desire to spend more time with You greater than anything else.

Very much this. I'm not really on social media except KZfaq anymore, and now KZfaq has become a problem for me. I'm on it for so long doing literally nothing. I don't have hobbies or people to hang out with, so I feel obligated to fill the space with filler content of any kind. I can't even do my Bible study without head bopping to Christian music or checking a brief notification for apps I don't even use, like... I need to not only fast, but probably touch some grass. Those thoughts are not from God but they are of the enemy. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love and of power and of sound mind. I pray that God draws you closer to this understanding and you are able to get into his word that shows you how to obtain peace beyond all understanding. You may also need deliverance. God bless you

27:22 is exactly how I feel. I feel so bad that I don't pray cuz I feel I'm already disappointing the Lord. I ignore him by just scrolling through KZfaq or watching movies/series. I literally feel the Holy Spirit nugging me to read the word. I ignore it. This video showed up while scrolling so I think Jesus is telling me something 😅 I hate disappointing the Lord.

@nicolesworld9678 hi! What I've been doing is I pick a time an hour a day where there is no one bothering me and just read a minimum 1 chapter. I have a journal to decorate (I like making things pretty 😊) and I first pray for the Lord to give me wisdom and understanding of his word. And I just and literally write what was the passage about and if there is a teaching behind the passage. Before you know it, a whole hour has passed you in the word. It's understandable if you miss some days but try and trust me it feels nice. God bless you ❤️ I may never meet you in person but don't be shy in heaven and give a hug cuz guuurrll me made it!!! 😊

I used to have problems with lust. Each time I saw a woman, I just went into mental delusion and all you know but one day I realized I was no more drawn to such practices as before because I handed it to the Lord. Recently, I started having wet dreams at a consistent rate and I prayed until a few days ago, God just opened my eyes to the shows I watch on TV and reminded me that The eyes are the windows of the soul. I thank God for the revelation and I cut off all those shows promoting sexual promiscuity

You make me laugh girl cause your personality is so like cute and quirky and bubbly 😁 but anyways, guilty 🙋🏽‍♀️ I definitely be getting distracted by other things in my own secret time with God. Be it by via phone, other ppl or even just my own mind. It's crazy how much we allow the devil to use even the smallest things we wouldn't even think could be a distraction. God is so amazing!! 😭❤For these past few weeks, I've struggled to draw near to God. I was so consumed with the distractions around me, completely ignoring the conviction of the holy spirit. It got to the point where my heart felt so heavy and God sent this video after prayer!! It says in James 4:17 if anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them." Thank you for this reminder girl! It is so important to follow the unction of the spirit. For anyone also in this position I recommend reading Psalms 51:10-13!!❤

In life you’ll find all sorts of distractions whether it’s in social media, family, friends, yourself, and when you focus on the flesh or material things that’s when you see the devil work at his best. But when you isolate yourself and focus on Jesus you see it’s much more healthier but it’s a lot more difficult. See with the flesh it’s like a bubble it’s getting bigger and bigger and then boom it will soon pop. And then you realize you’re deep into this void of addiction and you start to have self hate because you think to yourself that “God is so angry with me, He’s not going to love me I don’t deserve to go to heaven.” See God hates the sin not the sinner. Being with Christ is so hard especially in today’s time.But I realized that as you purse Him more and you learn about Him more there comes like this change it feels subtle at first… but it’s a huge change. A change for the better. I hope you all find this “change” God bless you guys

Are you seeking spiritual growth, clarity, or a deeper connection with God? 2. What are you eliminating? Decide whether you will eliminate specific foods, entire meals, social media, entertainment) that may distract you. What spiritual practices will you engage with instead? Plan to fill the space left by fasting with spiritual activities. Consider prayer,reading scripture, journaling, or spending time like going to park! And CHURCH because it’s in scripture too! And I say it with much love ! If our church is to far find a local church but GO you have too 3 Fasting Is About Humility, Not Perfection: Understand that the purpose of fasting is to humble yourself before God, not to achieve perfection. It's about dependence on Him rather than your own strength.

I was really blessed, Thank you for recording. Recently the lord has been laying this conviction on my heart to drop my addiction to social media. I have been really distracted by social media just spending time scrolling. I woke up this morning and from my quiet time with the lord and about 3 hours my phone has been on DND. The part I can really relate with was when you said "When we discipline ourselves to spend time with God, that discipline translates to other areas of our lives" that is really true because I can testify to that. I really am not this person that listens much because I get easily distracted but God has been training me on that area, teaching me to be still, I usually watch KZfaq videos on 1.5x speed but the speed of this video was normal and I am glad I got the full gist, spending time with the father transforms a lot. This video is a blessing. Thank you ❤️

I’ve been able to read more than four chapters for the past three days and then BOOM I haven’t spoken to the Lord in like two days 😢 because I’ve been “busy” or “ran out of time”. This one hit me hard. This week I was definitely backsliding and I saw my distractions become apparent. When it came time to rest before i sleep i was going to put on a song from KZfaq as i was getting ready. As i put on the video i noticed it had timestamps so i decided to look at them. Had intro, end, etc. So I thought it was talking about segments of the song but at a certain point it had said “God will not be mocked.” The song was not a religious one but it was like an old 70s song so I thought that was strange but it hit me to my core. I checked the comments to see if anyone wrote anything about it but nothing. Just comments about how music like this isnt made anymore and whatever. So i thought maybe they just never noticed. So i changed the song to another with no timestamps. I then returned back to thw original song and the stamps were gone also. The Lord will make Himself known. It struck fear but it along with this video was reassurance that God wants His children to be with Him. Hebrews 12 and Proverbs 3:11-12 are proof of that. Thank you for this study/podcast/video 🙏

Hello Aliyah, what a blessed teaching! I think distractions are inevitable! But it's through discipline and making the right choice, that determines what will be the result after being distracted. Adam and Eve set the tone for us, when they got distracted by Satan, and made the wrong choice! That's why salvation is a matter of eternal life or death! With all the distractions of this life, one needs to make the right choice, and choose Christ, so we can be taught discipline. And with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can overcome life's distractions. That try to divert our attention away from communing with God and Him with us. Please continue to let God order your steps and give you wisdom as you teach His Word. Thank you 😊

I been struggling with my walk with Christ I’ll put other things such as social media or I’ll distract myself as well from me not spending time with God and then I’ll feel like I’m being disobedient to God for what he’s calling me to do simply because I’ll let fear hold me back. Spiritually warfare is real. I’ll continue to pray for my brothers in sisters in Christ. Thank you for this!! ❤
