@@tinajackel the first one is at 1min47 on the third bar on the last 2 beat. You do the same note but at the fourth fret on the string of D and A. It looks like a bigger gap but I prefer the way you play so its easier to loop the exercice multiple time!

Impressive and expands vocabulary considerably. On a side note, I think I had considered this particular Ibanez semi hollow when deciding I needed a semi hollow. It's an Ibanez FM93VLS , isn't it?(Ultimately, I got me a different brand, but this one was a close call for its playability and nice tone)

So can exercise #2 (the sus7 chords moving up in whole tones) be used over say a Dom 7th chord vamp?
@tinajackel
@tinajackel Жыл бұрын
so in 5:41 i show some chords that would work with this exercise that being said it’s just fourth stacked upon each other: Bb Eb Ab those notes would also sound good over a Fm7 or an Gb69 chord just experiment using different roots

Thank you so much for this. You’re so right about the challenge of shifting positions. Also, technique is extra challenging for guitarists because we’re sometimes caught between pick and pull off. Whereas pianists can just strike.
@tinajackel
@tinajackel Жыл бұрын
so true ! the left hand right hand coordination is a challenge on its own. sometimes i practice only the left hand or only the right hand ( dampening the strings with the left hand/ or not) and that helps me a lot! like pianist do too! all the best to you keep on practicing
