2 weeks ago, I lost my baby sister to a heroin overdose. She was 22. I held her 2 yr old daughter and 3 year old son as they asked me "Aunt Vik, what happened to mommy?" 1 week ago I sat in church as our 16 year old brother read her eulogy. 1 week ago I threw a handful of dirt over her coffin as it was lowered. Her and I were both huge Get Scared fans and have been at every show in Houston since I was 15 (I'll be 24 soon). Some of your music was played at the viewing since y'all were one of her favorite bands. Hold on to your brother and support him in his recovery. We will all be here when you are all ready to come back. Nick's treatment is #1 priority.

Please, God, please, that the future of Get Scared does not end like that of My Chemical Romance.

3 years, that’s been a hella long time. No idea if you all will be making a return, but if you all do that would be absolutely amazing! If not, that’s totally chill too! People’s life’s go into different directions for whatever’s better for them. But I just wanted to thank you all for making each and every one of your songs. Get scared has been my number one favorite band since I was 13, I just turned 20. First song I ever heard was “Don’t you dare forget the sun” and ever since, I’ve been hooked. Your guys music has helped me tremendously through a lot of tough times growing up and even now. Any time I feel anxious or a depressive episode coming on I always come back to Get Scared for comfort ❤️ Anyways, I hope you all are doing great and that life is treating you all well!! ❤️❤️

Holy fuck I’ve been hoping and waiting for a Get Scared tour I could attend since I was 13, I turn 20 in 5 days…i always felt that Get Scared was super underrated and that the music was is so amazing. Your guy’s music was my therapy (no pun intended) when I was at my worst, and even now when things are super shitty it’s still what I go to. I hope some day I’ll get to attend a show or for other fans that there even is another show. I hope all is well for you all, love you guys.

This is late, but I've been engulfed with your guy's music since I was about 15 or so... I don't remember 😂😂 But I'm 17 now, and being diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD is tough, especially when I'm at the end of being a child and going into adulthood and to college... But your guy's music helps me a lot. I listen to it when I'm at my darkest because I relate to most of the music. I let out all my dark energy and thoughts out through your music. I would find myself drawing vent art and crying as well. It really helps. And now that I have an emo boyfriend to match with me, I've been sending your music to him, lol. He really likes your music and I'm glad I could get him into it. I love you guys. I'll always get scared. 😜 ❤💞💞

Just listened to this again, and I honestly miss you guys a lot. Been listening since 2012 and been diving back in a lot recently. Hope for the best for you guys and hoping you are growing in this shitshow of a year and can maybe come back together as a band once it’s all over

What worries me the most, besides everyone's healthy is the approach Nick try with fans ( mostly under age) to get money out of them with excuse of 'hanging out'. :/ I know you're telling all of it to clear it all and I'm sure you tried to help but sometimes, the person has to realize or it kills others mental sanity. I can defiantly relate with the whole break up stuff I was in a 5 years relationship and even asked her to marry me with a ring and everything and she said yes but we had never gotten it finalized in a court so I guess I'm glad about that but anyways, your guys music has gotten me through some hard shit in life and I just need you all to know you're not alone if you ever need to talk to someome with the same understanding as you, I'm here and addiction is a very tough thing to overcome, I'm 3 years sober off of pills and I can say that I have felt amazing since the release of them!! I was really worried after it became 2019 and nothing happened. I was joking and all being like "Album? Who is she?" but it was worrisome that there was barely anything happening. I listen to you guys every. Single. Day. I’m an unbelievably busy graduate student and sometimes the only time I get to relax is on the bus to and from class. During that time I listen to your music and it’s the part of my day I look forward to the most. I discovered your band a little later than most did and i’ve never gotten to see you live. Legit one of the most important things that I want to do in my life is see your band live. I’ve lost a childhood friend to Heroin and 2 other childhood friends have almost completely ruined their lives over it. Do whats right and let him get better. Just please, please hold it together. You guys have really played out a voice for me during my darkest times and you still do. I love your songs because of the deep meaning. I relate to it in some ways, and I am so happy about that. I feel a sense of comfort with your songs and lyrics. So, with that being said, even the greatest of the greatest needs to sit back and relax. Take a break.
