I've been struggling creatively over the last few weeks, especially with perfectionism. It was lovely to watch this and see someone talking about playing and having fun, without worrying about the end result. Also reassuring to know I'm not the only one to buy materials from a range of brands - I have a habit of picking any colour I like the look of and sticking them all together! 😂

An inspiring video to just hang out with watercolors, with no pressure at all. And thanks for posting the link to the quill you used - it looks like it handles so nicely, and since cruelty-free is important to me, I'm really impressed it's a synthetic sable. And finally, delighted to see links to shops OTHER THAN Amazon -- Jackson's is the best! :-)

I am the same, always on the look out for cruelty-free when I can. You might also want to look at the Jackson's Raven mop line of brushes, they are lovely brushes too.

I love my watercolors and know what you mean about them being little sweeties. I started off in acrylic, moved to oil, pen and ink, back to acrylics and now I am obsessed with watercolors and using them in mixed media projects.

Watercolours are wonderful arent they? And I love acrylics, I kind of start with both but I've still not dabbled in oil paints, it's something I want to try but I just haven't got there yet!

Paint swatches inside the mini-palettes is a really good idea. Some of my paint pans are so dark it's hard to know what their exact color is. Coincidently, my black cat hopped onto my lap just as your 'assistant' made an appearance (!) LOL
