Does anyone have any tips for someone (me) who wants to record ambient sound? I don’t t know which type of mic is best for this matter. I don’t want to buy something that cancel this kind of sounds

One question , i have Boya MM1 whit deadcat on it . Microphone is connected to Lumix G7, dB set to -12 . When i vlogging outside (like i mostly do) do i need to set up wind noise on in Lumix settings ? Or deadcat should be my only wind protektion ?

I would do just wind protection if you can. The less audio processing done on the camera the better the audio will be

What do you think about using a mic like this outdoors, for instance auto type videos? Maybe 10 ft camera to speaker as I have a G9 and 42.5 mm lens. Thanks

Hey! I think getting something like the rode wireless or dji wireless mic systems would be perfect! I haven’t used the dji ones but the rode ones sound really good!

@@MatthewDangyou Thank you. I am watching a lot of videos on the wireless versions, but the sound quality and price makes the wired attractive. I am very much a beginner with video and am actually just making the transition from film to digital photography in the past few years. Definitely different.

@@harryniedecken5321 for sure! I always said that playing bass is like photography and playing guitar is like being a videographer. They are somewhat similar but very different

I have Lumix Panasonic GX800 and a Røde video mic. How do I connect these? I cannot find a jack port on the camera. Which adapters will I need?

I have the LUMIX g series 100. Were the Stereo microphone: VW-VMS10 and Stereo Shotgun microphone : DMW-MS2 by Panasonic really bad becuase I can’t find any retailers, other than overseas. What do you recommend for vlogging? Are the mics that are compatible with the g100 limited? Please share!

If you can plug a standard microphone in. I would buy a Rode Videomic Go 2

thank you I also have hot shoe placement. CS recommended the Panasonic brand but they seem outdated. Hard to find retailers that carry them@@MatthewDangyou
