I came into this series for Joe but I stayed for Iain, Ive never seen a more relatable contestant on the show.

Keep the bucket hole plugged for long enough to think of a good plan. E.g. Take some item of clothing off, line the colander with that. Or line it with tons of loo roll/the paper the task is written on. Fill it to the brim before emptying it a couple of times.

I always find a new favorite contestant each series, yet I watch old clips and then a new or old favorite emerges. The casting on this show is just amazing

The task didn't say you couldn't disconnect the string.... :D Anyone could have detached the string, set up a sand delivery chute, then sent the sand through it! The stress of facing these tasks on camera seems to melt even the best of brains! :)

My plan: Immediately knock everything off the table, grab the table itself, and position it holding one end up and with the other on the ground so that the sand lands on it and slides down the incline, falling off into the bucket.

You could line the strainer with toilet paper.

I think either the broom or the crosse could have been used as pipes if the ends were removed.

You can line the inside of the colander with toilet roll, and then just use it like a bowl to transfer the sand. If you want to plug up the hole it might be possible to also use the toilet paper to stopper it while you build your transferring device.

Interesting that Joe had a decent system going to start that would've gotten most the sand in the bucket but he eventually just says fuck it and pulls the tape off

To everyone that's coming here and saying they all touched the sand: I think that rule was more so along the ideas of you can't transport sand via your hands. As in you can't scoop handfuls of sand and put it into the bucket

there are so many solutions here. break the string so you dont have to take the tape off of the hole and then scoop the sand out of the top with the cups. allow the sand to poor out with one shoe in each of your hands, and dump one shoe while the other fills (don't wait until they're both full to dump). lay your jacket over the colander so it fills without those pesky holes. take off your pants and tie one of the pant legs closed to collect the sand. *pull the bottom of the plastic curtain hanging on the left wall towards the floor bucket so the sand travels across the curtain and into the bucket.* take off that jump suit that i think i saw one of the guys wearing and tie one of the legs off near the waist, and then let the sand funnel down the arm sleeve, through the remaining pant leg, and out into the bucket, using the broom/lacrosse stick for added rigidity if you find you can't hold it straight. sit in the corner and pray to god; if that doesn't work, pray to satan. tilt the table at a 45 degree angle and hold the wood against the table top firmly to form a funnel, filling any gaps resulting from uneven surfaces with toilet paper. roll the clue paper into a tube and join that with the toilet paper tube to see if that's long enough to get the sand falling in the right direction. or even unscrew the ends from either the broom, lacrosse stick, or table legs so it's just a tube and let the sand fall through the tube into the bucket. you literally could have beaten most methods that people tried in this video just by filling your safety goggles and letting sand dump on the floor whenever you emptied the goggles. easier said from behind a computer screen though i guess

Armchair solving: Release yourself from the string (task says nothing about that). Lou could use her tea mug she brought with her. Otherwise, take off your shoes or another piece of clothing and use that.

My first instinct would be to drag the table under bucket A, then use the items to scoop the sand towards bucket B. You could also wrap your hands in tp catch and transfer. But lining the colender woth tp would provably be the best method. It does say when the send stops, the task stops, which makes me wary of just putting tape back over the hole.

At this point, I'm always waiting if there's a twist. In this case, something like the stick of the broom being hollow and the exact length between the buckets or something.

I was thinking maybe line the colander with the toilet paper, that way you could at least fill it all the way up without losing hardly any sand- i.e. putting the toilet paper inside the colander. You'd have to be quick to do it, but the pay-off would be worth it.

The person who kept his hand tape to the bucket still and used the tea cup almost had the best idea, I would of took my goggles off and used them lol they can hold more sand and don’t have to move anywhere

What annoys me is that it looks like all the distances were the same for everyone, even though some of them (Sian) are not as tall as others, which makes it much more difficult and unfair from the beginning.

I'm surprised no one used the blatantly obvious solution. Reading the task again: YOU may not move the bucket. So....ask Alex to do it! Have him position it directly underneath and pull the tab. Pretty much guarantees you the win, unless Taskmaster Greg deems that cheating for some arbitrary reason.

My first thought was: Step 1, get your hand out of the dang string loop. Then I would check to see if the plastic sheeting on the wall could be detached from the bottom and used as a sluice to divert the falling sand right into Bucket B.

before you unplug the bucket, remove your trousers and ball up one of the legs, then aim the other leg into the floor bucket and align the top of the trousers under the bucket hole. The sand travels down the trouser leg into the bucket, you should get near 100%

Grab the mango, smash it. Grab the toilet paper, wipe the mango mash to get it mushy. The gooey paper will now gum up the holes in the collander/strainer. Add sand - the bottom layer will solidify to the papermash and form a solid bowl. Win.

I take the ends of the broom off and now you have a tube to let the sand flow

After watching a few seasons of Taskmaster I realise that Paul is absolutely right. Someone will fuck up.

The solution is to line the strainer with toilet paper, and use spit to make the toilet paper stick together inside so it doesn’t come apart.

I should imagine the clue card itself, bent and angled correctly, held under bucket A , would have diverted practically all of the sand into bucket B. They were not all that far apart.

I would have grabbed the boom. The handle is hollow metal and it looked like the screw attaching it to the brush had been removed, so the top of it could have probably been taken off too, creating a direct pipe from one bucket to the other.

Step 1: Tip the table so everything falls off Step 2: move the table to under the bucket step 3: tip the table so it functions like a ramp into the bucket.

I love trying to solve the puzzles - anyone else? I think I would have tried to unscrew the top and the base of the broom and use it as a chute, with taskmaster paper as a funnel. Failing that, knock everything off the table and use the table itself as a slope to send the sand in the right direction. Failing that, cry.

Easy loophole - take your hand out of the adjustable knot that ties you to the tape in the first place since the rules never once said you have to leave it on. Second place some toilet paper inside the colander to block the holes and use that to get all the sand after yanking the tape off

The bucket already had tape on it could’ve just taped it back up and if not than I would’ve just stuffed the hole the sand was coming out of with the toilet paper, wrap the bowl with holes with toilet paper and move it that way

Without seeing who did what I've already figured out how to easily beat this like incredibly easily and it didn't take more than maybe 20 seconds of actually thinking about it

Just take the table and redirect the sand with it so it slides into the other bucket

Step 1- grab the toilet paper and the strainer. Step 2- unroll paper and cover the strainer in toilet paper to plug the holes. Step 3- use a now complete container to catch the sand.

Carefully remove the hand from the loop without the sand starting to fall (coz it doesnt say you cant). Should have told Alex to go and get a piece of 3" pipe about 8ft long or a piece of cardboard/carpet of same length. Failing that, take off trousers or top, tie a knot in the legs/arms and let the sand pour in (coz it doesnt say you have to only use the things on the table). Transfer sand to bucket B.

I have yet to finished the video completely, but I quickly noticed that it never said, you were not allowed to use the paper? I would honestly just put the paper in that rincer and just fill it up with sand. If you put it in the inside, it should create a solid area for the sand to be in.

To be fair, Im sure you could see multiple people touch the sand so there should be more disqualified.

Easiest solution here would have been to move the bucket on the floor to under the bucket with the sand. The rules stated that you cant move the bucket, but didnt state which bucket.

They all technically touched the sand, would’ve been funny if they all got disqualified.

Did the task say anything about removing the the string from the wrist if so what about removing the string from the tap or plug and then think of a plan like using the handle of the broom and if it’s plastic or metal it’s probably hollow or line the colander with toilet paper
