In this video, we do a viper cut to our Toyota 4Runner to gain needed tire clearance up front and some styling points. Not only does it help with bigger tires but it looks cool too. It's not easy cutting into a 2022 Toyota 4Runner with 1000 miles but you gotta pay to play. If you need any guidance on this job please feel free to ask! Thanks for watching!

I usually think the viper cut looks terrible, but since you did the lower cut instead of the high cut, it actually looks pretty good.

Looks good. Less extreme than you regularly see. Good job dude. (I went steep on mine but I love all viper angles)

Great video! Any issues with debris or dust shooting back up? Also wondering if this affects MPG? I want to do a love viper cut like this but wondering if there will be issues without getting the additional protection.

No issues at all. Also, you will not see any difference in mpg. If you're worried about protection, C4 makes a skid plate for the washer fluid tank. We have them available on our website.

Air saw, you can grab a cheap one from harbor freight. Works great!

what's offset on the wheels? also what kind of upper control arms?

Stock upper control arms and the wheels are 17X8.5 0 offset

How did you end up securing the liner on the driver side?

I didn't do anything with the driver's side. It hasn't given me any issues. It seemed sturdy enough to let it go.

Roughly 2.5" up front and 1.25" in the rear

Yes we currently have an ICON stage 1 lift kit on it.

I'm not a fan of the 5th gen looks because of that Darth Vader grill (I have a 4th gen). Now that you've made your Toyota more off road worthy, your mall crawl pass has been revoked.

@@yotaxpedition funny thing, I just bought this 4Runner 3 months ago. Yes, I had choices but opted for this one because of the V8 and 4wd. I'm an old fart and the Darth Vader look is really overdone.

@@America1st69 you're absolutely correct. Prices are ridiculous for high mileage examples. The 2003 V8 4wd 4th gen I bought last November just turned over 202,000 miles.
