YES, I want to study masters in social works in Australia, please I have 2 main questions : 1) As a fresh graduate(with no work experience) is it difficult to find a job in Australia. 2) Please how to navigate into becoming a health or mental social worker. I have subscribed and will be watching all your content, please keep up the good work. God bless you, Chioma

Thanks for the compliment Osazee. To address your questions, 1. Not sure if you meant, as a fresh Social Work graduate in Australia or just finding a job generally, but yes, you can get a job even though I can't speak to how long it might take. People's experiences are different. However, if you are flexible with your options, you stand a better chance at getting a foot in the door quicker. 2.For MH social work, you will need additional training and accreditation on top of your regular SW qualifications to practice. Thank you for subscribing too🙏🏽🙏🏽

Hi ^_^ What time do social workers/ case workers start and finish? I see on the NSW for case workers having 35 hours full time which is 7 hours per day (Monday-Friday). Do you ever go over time? as a full time, would you say, you could study part time as well or the work load too much?
@lifewithchioma
@lifewithchioma Жыл бұрын
I am currently working a 35-hour week but my previous job was 40 hours a week, so it depends on the organisation. Working over time is also dependent on the organisation and they will certainly have policies guiding over time work. Yes, you can study part time if you are a permanent resident or citizen. You can't do that as an international student.
