I already got him to champion 100 on Tuesday, this man is a beast and definitely not a clone. This man even has infinite sprinting so I can hold down R2 for as long as I want. They need to give that to Captain America and Black Panther

The only thing I don't like about him is that he can't bust down walls like Thor, Hulk, Marvel, Black Panther and Spiderman. I hope they end up fixing that, because he's the Winter Soldier and he should be able to use his metal arm to bust it down. If Captain America can do it with his shield then Bucky should be able to do it with his arm

I couldn’t replicate this on my ps5 unfortunately. However I went back into Enter the Avengers and randomly started getting 140pl gear, I was only at 60pl gear at the time, I’ll take it!

This method has been working much more consistently when I have full inventory for all gear slots on my max level character. I'm using Cap, and any cap gear I buy goes straight to the locker. Other characters gear is getting the bump a lot more often since I filled up caps on hand gear slots. Edit: Also when I rolled to the next day it stopped working again until I bought a gear item for the corresponding slot in caps load out so that may be required too

I wish that I had seen this video before I starting playing Winter Soldier. This is super helpful info though. I kept going to all four vendors hourly, until I was PL-150.

Confirmed worked for me. heard some people may need to do a mission or two on a main character for them to show up if it does not work straight up.

So you can do this with multiple characters at one time!! I haven’t played in like 2 years so half my people aren’t leveled up. This was extremely helpful!! Thank you kind sir!!! 🙏🏻 Edit: Someone else below had mentioned just running through some of the missions once they had a level 140 piece. DO THIS IF YOU’RE STUCK WAITING!!! Once you have one piece of gear level 140, play “Enter: The Avengers” (he has a route for this on an older video) and just grab the boxes. This will help you get the remaining pieces you need 140 instead of having to wait for the luck chance of two slots being the same type of gear in the shop. This takes like 5-15 minutes from this point as opposed to possibly hours waiting for shop resets.

This doesn’t really work for me. When I get a gear piece and then go back to the vendor, it only goes up like 4 or 5 levels. Anyone know how to do it like the video?

It didn’t work for me. I have a level 162 hulk and bought a 73 melee gear, left the vendor came back to the same one and the other melee gear was 75, not 140.

My stuff only goes up by 4 power levels, I could buy power 4-8-12 for my alt. I guess this doesn't work in the same way if your "main" isn't +140 PL?

I don’t think this works or has ever worked on PS5. I’ve been checking all vendors everyday since winter soldier came out. Only in one occasion I was able to find two items of the same slot. Then I purchased one of them (PL5), went into the menu, returned to the vendor and the second one was only PL9, instead of PL140. Of course, I tried that with a 150+ PL hero.

Tried this and worked for 2 characters, my kate bishop ended up having a 140 in the vendor and WS had one unfortunately my faction rank wasnt high enough for WS. BUT I noticed after i did the out of shadows mission just grabbing all the boxes that I was 24 but my gear i was getting was like a good 20-30 levels above. So i got to 140 in like 5 minutes with him. i thought it was a glitch cause i tried it with lady thor and it didnt work but then I used Kate and it worked the same. So as long as you have a 140 available in the vendors you can go do the mission and unlock gear that way super quick!

So ive found a method to get this to work 100% of the time. Im not sure all my steps are necessary but their not hard so i havent changed anything since it works. There are two methods depending on if the duplicate gear is sold on the same merchant or different ones. Notes -if the merchants inventory resets you must port at least once or this trick wont work -Step 4 is the difference in these methods so pay attention there -If you have recently done a mission that put an item into storage you can skip step 3 for the first item being bought Same Merchant Method Step 1- have a char power lvl150 or higher Step 2- have a completely full inventory on that character Step 3- find a merchant with duplicate items for the same char (same slot item for same char) Step 4- buy ANY item from the special item for your lvl150+ char (it will go to storage since you inventory is full) Step 5- buy one of the two duplicate items Step 6- go to your characters gear screen and then back out Step 7-buy the second duplicate item at the new power lvl of 140 Different Merchant Method Step 1- have a char power lvl150 or higher Step 2- have a completely full inventory on that character Step 3- find different merchants with duplicate items for the same char (same slot item for same char) Step 4- buy an item from the special item for your lvl150+ char that goes into the corresponding slot of the item you are trying to boost to 140(it will go to storage since you inventory is full) Step 5- buy one of the two duplicate items from that same merchant Step 6- go to your characters gear screen and then back out Step 7-teleport to the second merchant selling that same slot item for the corrosponding char of the other item you bought, the item will now be 140

Bob, I was also unable to replicate this in my game at first. I found d out what my problem was. I was not doing this method while on the higher level character. Watching tour video, the part at the beginning when you mention using your Ironman, I had understood that as simply having a higher level character. When I switched to the high level one it worked just like you said.

This method works, but it's extremely inconsistent. You're better off setting the date and getting red room than doing this method.

This works except for the fact that for both factions I'm only level 20-22 and after getting a piece of gear to 140 it says I can't buy it because "faction level 45 required" so I STILL need to grind no matter what .... this game sucks

Wondering if there is some extra variable that makes it work. Like does the character your buying the gear on need to be Level 50 aswell, or do they need a fully upgraded Major Artifact? Does the low level character have to have only level 1 Gear on? Ive only gotten it to work very inconsistently.

Most of mine only went up by +4 but the ones that did go to 140 i noticed have to be the same exact piece meaning if one has gamma the other has to have gamma etc. If a lvl 4 had gamma on one and not the other it only went up by +4 if they both was the exact same it went to 140

I've been doing a similar version of this, but I did not know about the finding the same gear in the same vendor hack. I would just go to different vendors or open and close the vendor and would have updated gear as I leveled up.

@BobDuckNWeave This is not working for me. I notice in your video both the items at your vendor are L5 Pym's Contingency Unit - BOTH exactly the same item, NOT only the same gear slot. Is this what I need to look for? I have been buying pieces where there is another available item for the same hero in the same GEAR SLOT but not EXACTLY the same item. My other question is - does this only work with L5 gear? I'm trying to use it to boost up heroes who I've already played who have SOME gear but not 140 gear.

Can you do this if he has already been leveled to like power 30? Or does it only work if equipped gear is power 1?

This does work but it seems to be pretty hit or miss. For example it does not seem to work with any item that goes in the hand slot such as black widows gloves. Also after doing this with about 5 characters it quits working altogether. Any ideas on what causes this work?
