GET9 is a single produced by Yoko Kanno which promotes the animated TV series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. The title of the single also corresponds to the opening theme song of the series in its broadcast on free-to-air (non-satellite) television.
It was released by the Victor Entertainment label on January 21, 2004 with a starting price of ¥1050.
The single features the opening theme from the first season of "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" used during its non-satellite television broadcast. It also features the theme song Rise, used as the opening theme for the satellite broadcast of the second season, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG.
The music was composed entirely by Yoko Kanno while production was handled by Kanno together with Victor Entertainment and Bandai.
The single reached #15 on the Oricon chart and stayed there for 20 weeks.
