We love how this princess got her happily ever after - on her own terms :)

I love the fact that Gisele ended up with Robert because she wants something real and Nancy ends up with Prince Edward because she wants a fairytale romance. They both get their own happy ending

There was also a deleted scene where Nancy is talking with a coworker who tells her she knows Nancy is a closet romantic who dreams of having a fairy tale story romance. I WISH they kept this because it would have made her ending make even more sense.

And switching things up to where Giselle had to save Robert as the hero wielding a sword ready to defend her love interest. For 2008, this was a nice action twist.

how nice it is to realize that idina was just a supporting character here when later she became the much more famous disney princess. she did not sing in this disney princess movie. but when she finally did in one, we can't get her voice out of our head.

Nathaniel was one of my favorite characters. He grew the most and the fastest, going from hopelessly infatuated with the queen who abused him to an awaking that his life is important and worthwhile and he should not throw it away for an unrequited love. He took charge of himself. Plus, he adjusted to the new world very quickly and showed he was actually rather intelligent considering he was initially presented as a mindless subordinate.

Fun fact: one of the old men in the "How Does She Know?" dance sequence was one of the dancing chimney sweeps in *Mary Poppins.* Second fun fact: Throughout the film, there are subtle musical cues from other movies: when Sarandon's character shows up in our world and speaks to Nathaniel, "Beauty and the Beast" plays for a brief second, and when Gisele is in the law office and is talking to the fish, there is a very brief snippet from "Under the Sea."

28:20 I also like how they chose to switch things up instead of going with the typical cliche 'damsel in distress' thing. They put the guy in trouble this time, and she saved HIM, and afterwards where he said "as long as you're here to catch me" was the best part for me! It was so sweet, and such a super refreshing moment that you almost never ever see happen in movies or shows. I like when things are switched up like that, and I just think it fits perfectly. Love is love, regardless of who saves who. 🔥💘🔥 GREAT reaction you guys! 😊👍🔥

The DREAM TEAM of Achara and Steph! Watching one of my favorite movies! I am a guy who is a hopeful romantic and a HUGE Disney fan...so YES! Love this! And yes, I HAVE serenaded ladies. None have objected yet. It's been like Steph said..."You're being so dramatic...Why are we singing? But...keep doing it..."

The song at the end is not sung by Idina Menzel, its by Carrie Underwood ("Ever ever after"). But i really like it and now i have to find some other songs of her that are not so country and not about religion. So far "So Small" is the best for me.

Actually when you hear the song when Nancy finds the shoe, it’s not Idina Menzel singing. It’s Carrie Underwood. It’s called Ever Ever After.

12:52 I think I just now realized why I've always loved this movie. It's because of the fact that it reminds me SO MUCH of the movie ELF with Will Ferrell! It's pretty much the same premise, except one is purely Christmas themed, and the other is Disney Princess themed. Lol Elf is one of my all-time favorite movies! It's one of the funniest movies I've seen! And I think it's because the protagonist is out of the world they know and are used to, which is often a fictional place. That makes them come off to the audience as very happy-go-lucky and quite moronic (in a hilarious way). That's what both characters have in common, and is why both are great movies! 😆👌

The one singing ever ever after is actually carrie underwood. Everyone loves that song. Plus indina sing in the sequel which just cam eout yesterday November 18th. And the narrator was our beloved icon Dame Julie Andrews.

I read how before this movie, Amy Adams was known for playing the "mean girl" in movies. When people heard she was going to play this sweet, naive Disney princess, no one believed she could be believable as that kind of character. I remember the acclaim audiences gave her for perfectly capturing the embodiment of the classic Disney princess without it being too much or feeling fake. She nailed this role perfectly with just the right balance of character and personality. . . Oh, and sadly, they recast Morgan for part 2. The real actress is 24-ish now and is too old to play her old role. 😢

YES! I've been waiting for the opportunity to say this *FUN FACT!* In the scene where that singing prince guy _(forget his name--his name is forgettable)_ gets hit and pumbled by the group of bikers, the actor actually requested that he get knocked over FOR REAL by the bikers, because faking it just didn't seem real enough. Now THAT'S dedication to a role! 😃👌 Now I'm sure some know-it-all is gonna correct or "clean up" my fun fact... Whatevs man. Lol

I was hoping you'd show this part, but in the scene where James Marsden is standing on the bus roof with all those people gathered around it, you can hear someone yell "Get the fuck off there!" lol. Or something to that effect. There have been a few articles about it, apparently. Even when the movie is played on regular TV, they never censor it. Nobody notices it lol.

Two years ago, she earned her B.A. in Theater & Sociology from Northwestern, and since then she's been a studio manager for a successful Broadway vocal coach in New York. In her LinkedIn profile, she bills herself as a playwright and composer.

The new Morgan is a different actress - because IIRC the original one (Rachel Covey) no longer acts - and they needed also needed someone who was younger to be a teenage Morgan BUT the original DOES get a cameo in the film anyway - She's the one who speaks to Giselle in the town square after the spell happens.

Has anyone noticed how the prince that she made in Andalasia (the one she was dreaming about) had the same clothes as Robert in the Ball? When I realized it blew my mind and also like, Giselle says she's been dreaming of a true love's kiss and it think her dream was more of a prediction of that night.

Please do watch Drop Dead Gorgeous - it is the first movie Amy Dams ever acted and even though her role is small, she still steals every scene she is in. And apart from that, Drop Dead Gorgeous is such a great dark comedy.
