i’m here after he cancelled the rest of his tour. i’ve loved Getter’s music for years now. but i actually never even attempted to listen to his Visceral album until tonight. i’ve been super into chill and experimental EDM recently which this album is and i’m blown away. the EDM community have become intoxicated with people who are full of themselves and won’t accept most change. this album is fucking golden and perfect in so many ways. it’s a shame people in the community put him down so quickly. he’s just trying to make himself and the people around him happy.

I'm a headbanger at heart and I've always loved Getter, but at least I'm a true fan who can appreciate his artistry and recognize the emotion he puts into his art. To the fans who were so nasty for no better reason than to throw hate at something they don't understand: you've condemned me to missing out on one of my favorite artists and I will never forgive you. Keep prospering Getter. You deserve it.

Everytime I listen to this song, I think of how hurt and sad he must’ve felt being booed off stage. To find and explore new sounds and unique music, only to have it be rejected by your ‘fans’ must really sting. This song sends me into my deepest thoughts and makes me appreciate it even more. I’m so happy I found Getter, even if I was late to the party.

Getter, i just wanted to let you know this Album helped me when i needed it the most. I made it out of a 6 year Opiate addiction, and i listened to this album on repeat every night when i went to sleep, And at work. It hurts me deeply that people Threw so much hate at you. just wanted to say thank you. I never knew about his tour being canceled, i mostly appreciated this Masterpiece quietly, when i worked with headphones on. This album just meant so much to me, and I'm so gutted that He didn't get the recognition that he deserves for this. It's truly incredible. one of the things that helped save me from the depths of my addiction, one That Claimed so much life already. (i usually don't comment much on stuff, but what happened to him, i can really feel it in my fking chest.) Thank you, again. I'm sorry for how you were treated, you didn't deserve that.

Three years later and I still think this is one of the best EDM albums I have ever listened to

I can't stop listening. You're an absolute legend. Just read about your tour. That's some tough shit.. I hope you know you're still loved by many and your work is appreciated.

It's been more than four years and this is still my undisputed favorite track of all time. I got around to playing it again for the first time in months, after hearing the track Tell Me A Joke by Quadeca, which is the only song that has ever come close to making me feel the same way as this one. Even then, Purgatory beats it by a mile. I'm not sure if it's the sentiment I have for this track or the way my feelings still seem to grow for this song after every successive listen. This song got me through the hardest times of my life, to the point where revisiting it still stings of those times. I've listened to Purgatory countless times and somehow the 4 minute runtime still feels like it's under 30 seconds. Truly, undoubtedly one of the most cathartic yet apathetic songs i've ever heard, it never fails to overwhelm me in a way no music ever has and likely ever will. I would do anything to hear this song again for the first time again.
