I never met Jimmy, but I became friends with his younger sister, through a group of people who have nothing to do with Fire/EMS. She always spoke highly of Jimmy when we hung out. Her and Jimmy come from a very resilient family. I had my own issues during my time as a member of Broad Channel VFD when I got home from Iraq in 2007. There we're people in that Department who helped me to get the assistance that I needed. Jimmy thank you for telling your story of how you overcame those challenges. It's definitely an inspiration for any other first responders who are seeking help for their psychological well-being. Stay strong gentlemen!

As a former Fire/EMS dispatcher and 20 year reservist firefighter engineer this was by far one of the best shows for me. People do not realize what we go through day in and day out. I would have given anything to be a FDNY dispatcher for a day just for the experience. I worked at Two of the very busiest centers in the St Louis Metro area and we never had anything compared to what this young man went through. My typical shift was 9 hours on the phones and 3 on the radio and it was typical to answer 70-90 calls in that time frame on the phones and then you had to deal with units on the street self dispatching. His stories took me back to my chair. Thank you for this show, it was awesome!

Great show tonight, Fella's. Dispatchers are just as important as us firefighters who ride the rigs. We couldn't do your jobs without them.

I love this guy. IMO he’s right up there with the beef, eiser, and Warren. Loved listening to him. On his last day someone posted his final messages & I commented see you on Gettin Salty. He immediately liked it

I like learning new stuff, and this was brilliant to illustrate the "cogs" within the FDNY network. Hearing the 9/11 Transmissions was 😢 really hard🙏. It's clear Jimmy loved and was fantastic at his job, and very funny!💥. Great show gentleman.

I'm gonna get salty here. FDNY should not allow no dispatcher to decide what unit is gonna be sent to what. Its not this guy's job or anybody else's in the alarm office to make that decision. His job is to dispatch the call as the computer in front of him tells him to and send the companies as the run card dictates. If I was on a truck that was not being sent as dictated by the alarm card, there would be some serious conversations. That is BS.

Just hope you understand, the situations described were not on my tour. I can't speak for others. I didn't play that game. However, the assignment cards are in need of a serious revamp.
