Nearly got the skeleton curse, I only had a day to grind gold and glory but it was good enough cos I got nearly like 8 levels solo. You are progressing really quickly which is nice to see, can’t wait to see the golden bones on your skelly

I aspire to get as good as you and the other hgers. I have seen MASSIVE improvements that suddenly spiked at my second hg session. Cannons just suddenly clicked for me and yesterday, my third hg session. In that session, i was learning that i need to repair my ship more rather that taking advantage of the enemy repairing to get cannon advantage because i commit too much, then also i over-repair a lot in my matches too.

@@Capt_Roach Do you have any tips for the balance between repairing and pressuring the enemy vessel? I am only level 11 or so in Guardians, so I'm just starting to get more competent players in my matches. (or so it feels)

In my most recent community post I said after I get gold bones I am going to make full guides for PvP but until then I would say always keep your opponent on your left side and keep all right side holes repaired , and keep the pressure on them back spreading your cannon shots at the front of their boat lowers fill faster, also as your applying pressure, when you get a chance quickly rep any of the front middle or front left holes, last tip always leave the hole above the stove for last, 90% it will be the hole that opens if your boat gets hit so there’s no point in repairing before, oh and always rep lowers completely before you attempt a board, even with 3 back holes you can usually board with out having to worry about them unless they are all tier 3, then I would rep 1 or 2 then board, hope that helps.

I wish i could say I’m happy for you, I am actually traumatized from losing big ass streaks from silent boards and crate walls. Hope they patch silent board next season I have had enough of it

I get what you mean, but unfortunately I feel silent boarding is probably seen as a less game breaking exploit than like fish or crud launch meaning it might not patched for a while. I’m perfectly fine with them patching it though, the only reason I use it to begin with is because also lost good streaks to being silent boarded, most of the time you can still hear a silent boarder but if your getting high waves or getting hit by cannons plus if you play with hourglass music on, it can be impossible to hear them

@@Capt_Roach i understand what you mean, but I feel like crud launching isn’t as OP, at least from experience. More often than not I get silent boarded, don’t realize he is up until I get one-blundered from behind. I feel like crud launching is more obvious if it is happening or not, and it is easier to counter. Having to constantly ladder guard only because someone shot out is not really fair, hope it gets patched next season. I felt like it is worth saying that you seem like a good player, only that I don’t really appreciate the silent board.

Hey I’m new to the game and I love the sword you used for the roached guy how do you get that sword?

You get it from the reapers bones emissary ledger. I’m guessing you probably don’t really know what a emissary is so basically you go to reapers hideout and get a reapers bones emissary flag from servant of flame and then raise it there or at any of the reaper tents on any of the outposts. You then have just either play the PvP mode like me or just sell loot to reapers hideout in adventure, you can track your progress for your ledger in the reputation menu. For the specific weapon you want, the masked renegade sword, I think you need to get the max tier 5 times which means for 5 months you have to get the 5 tier, but it does not have to be back to back, you won’t miss out on any of these cosmetics, hope this helps new pirate, I hope you enjoy SoT as much as I do!

How many levels do you grind a day? I usually grind 5-7 a day but I’m only lvl 57.5 in servants, been working for like 2 weeks now

On regular days, selling after a streak of 4 works best for me, because i'd rather take 1/2 a level worth of XP than lose against a mighty sweat lord. On gold and glory, however, you might want to keep going on as far as you feel confident on your skills: after reaching a streak of 4, every kill onwards yields about 80% of the XP needed to gain a level, so selling isn't your top priority, but sinking enemy ships. Source: my 547 levels on Servants

Go for at least 4 streaks and if you can get them consistently then go until you sink because after a 4 streak you get more xp per fight then before which outweighs the benefits of selling, most of the time netting you more hg levels in less time

It took 1 to 2 months for the first 100 levels because I was pretty bad when I first started hourglass but if your referring to my recent video, 3 days it took. Across the 3 days it took a total of 26 hours I believe on gold and glory

I’ll explain it more when I make my hand to hand PvP guide but you just basically have your blunder selected before you grab ladder and climb near the top, let go and non ads shoot and try to regrab the ladder

It probably will get removed eventually but it allows you to silent board your boat, you can still hear when you board but the sound is greatly reduced
