How I found a truck driving job with a felony record

If I called the shots on hiring, I would consider the circumstances. When someone has the true desire to make a change, there needs to be a helping hand. Better to help an individual to a positive life who has the desire.

How is the Circumstances of one felon any different than another? Carolina Cargo and Senn Freight will hire anyone with any felony. They don't judge! Neither should you.

@@MrCountrycuz I see your point I guess, but I truly see his.. I believe what he was saying is if he called the shots on hiring he would be willing to hire a felon if he determined whether or not they truly desire to make a change. An experienced hiring manager could figure that out in a good interview. Reason being is everyone isn't necessarily committed to changing their lives just yet so they can't just hire every felon that comes along. Unfortunately us felons have to prove ourselves a little more than the average person. And thanks for the tips on these 2 companies that do hire felons. This was a while ago you posted this so do you know if they still actively hire felons?

I drive truck and I have a criminal record but my felony charge wasn’t a violent felony charge it was a third degree grand theft felony charge and I went through the “Withheld Adjudication” court diversion program basically it’s like being on probation but you’re NOT on probation, you have to complete the court requirements of Restitution payments and counseling and community service hours. I had to do 100 hours of community service and report to my supervising officer once a month for 12 months but I had it extended for 2 1/2 years so NO JAIL TIME as long as you don’t get violated or rearrested for NEW charges. But that was in 2009 so we’ll over 10+ years ago. I’ve grown up A LOT since then. I run my own owner operator trucking company now, I got a business contracts with successful companies across the U.S. and I do international exporting trade financing with the UAE 🇦🇪. But from time to time I do have to do background checks with certain government applications that will look back 25+ years of your life to find anything criminal on your life. I guess the ONLY thing you can do is MOTIVATE yourself to get your life together and keep your nose CLEAN.

What I like about Carolina Cargo is the fact that they don’t judge you by your felony. I’m felon who went there back in 2006 when I had nowhere else to go . I have drove for them almost two years total since then at different times. I was always told to hurry back when I went somewhere else because I was a safe professional driver with no habits. I want to also mention Senn Freight in Newberry SC if anyone wants to do flatbed and has a felony. They don’t judge you. I am pretty happy over here at Salson Logistics You need two years otr and they require any felony to be over ten years and your set.

I appreciate your time and effort! I had felonies, bought a "PARDON",SO DEFINITELY GET A PARDON! APPROX $3000 OR SO.... YOU GET ALL YOUR RIGHTS BACK! Now I got a few tickets now and just financed a truck but I am catching he'll getting insurance cause almost all companies are scared! That's where I'm at as a trucker right now.. With TRUCKING it's always something, but happy I got a truck though... Just need bobtail insurance and base plates/ cabcard... Smh it's not easy, but fair somewhat... Just watch out cause lots of cops, judges, 4wheelers, baby mommas, etc trying to all eat off of us! Peace, power and prosperity brothers!

Can you give me more details on the pardon process for my relative please? And if the pardon is granted would it release my relative from all the restitution that they owe?
@masonic7775 жыл бұрын
@@andreamittmanthomas4712 Hey, it will not release you from what you have to pay, thats part of your punishments what you have to pay for what you did... BUT ANYWAY, depends upon your STATE you just look up the department that handles gardens in your STATE, some are different... It's better if you have a lawyer friend or family... anyway, JUST find the department that handles gardens in that state and you will find their procedures and rules for applying to get a pardon... But you have to be done with doing your time, etc first!!! Pay whatever the fee is and apply for a pardon, then in a few weeks or moths you will have a hearing and when you go you will plead your case, tell them what you've been doing and what you've learned, ETC, etc, they will ask you some questions! BUT basically thats it, then it's up to them to give it to you or turn you down for it! If they're in the feds for federal crimes, they're going to have to go to the federal gov't for a presidential pardon... It's not hard at all, but if you got a lawyer friend, family, ETC then you can do it through them and they'll charge any where between $3000 & $6000, just depends, people and things in offices tend to change often... I would suggest to look it up, Google it so you can get a real understanding of what it is, cause it doesn't excuse you from what you did nor your punishments for whatever you did, and out here in the real world Mrs can still hold it against you like for example for jobs!! But anything official will honor your garden directly and treat you like nothing even happened with the up most respect as they should, but it's these regular folks at jobs that will try to stick it to you for the he'll of it, even tell you stuff like "Oh your record has to be 20 years old!" And you'll be like, you're not even 20 years old to tell me that, people will put their religious and ignorance upon you and treat you like shit cause you got in trouble! That's why I like to do my own business, fuck people, they're generally so many haters in different ways, if you can understand what I'm saying, people think racism is so big to hold you back, NO really it's CLASSISM.... Anyway, hope this helps in any way possible, tell ya cousin or whoever, ya gotta keep ya head up for a while, ALWAYS I SAY, we been saying that a long time before Tupac! LOL HA HA HA HA HA HA 😉😅😂🤣👊🤜✊😎👌✌ PEACE, POWER AND PROSPERITY!!!

That is so ridiculous and they wonder why it's so many offenders in the system. All crimes that are nonviolent should even be able to be seen on your record unless you're trying to get a job and a nursing facility or working with kids or at a pharmacy Places like truck companies retail stores call centers finance company they should even be able to see that nothing in your Job description got anything to do with drugs

What most people don't think about is when you don't give jobs to felons after they paid their debt to society. You push them back into crime and that crime could be against you because they can't feed themselves. Sometimes we act like oppressors acting holy than thou and being unforgiven and this is taught in Western Culture punish them til death . If you stole a car at 21 and now 57 years old keep punishing them make them a lifetime criminal to keep jobs for the prison and judicial and police system . Now that's a crime . The same young man you denied might be the same young man that murders your child during a robbery because society wants to give you a lifetime sentence of punishment until they mistake and plead for a chance and forgiveness. The judicial is broken needs reform and people need to tap into their spiritual religious side .

Wow, I’m so glad you told your story. I’m a convicted felon and Western Express is one of the main companies I was going to apply too. People say they give felons a chance and when I spoke to the recruiter she only was concern with whether or not my conviction was pertaining to children, which is not. And she didn’t seem to care about my felony. She was more concerned with my DUI than anything else. Damn now I’m nervous. I guess Carolina Cargo it is, and 10 cent cpm for me. Damn smh.

That's where I'm at. No one will take me because I gotta few to many tickets over 3 years old and was told to wait 2 more years. But yet they'll hire drug addicts,fatal crashes,reckless driving, rollovers, rear ends,etc which I have none of. I wish there was a couple companies or even just 1 that would work with people like me. Hell I'd even take a pay cut but no dice. Gotta wait it out fellas. Just give up and wait

Just to let you guys know that in most states you get a lawyer and he can file paperwork with the court to have your criminal record wiped clean. This would probably only work with a FIRST OFFENCE felony conviction. Its not a guarantee, and you would have to have finished your sentence AND parole/probation first and not be in any other kind of trouble with the law. The paperwork is sent to the judge and the DA's office. If the DA doesn't object then most likely the judge will sign off on it. I know this because I did it. AND I had two felonies, one being a violent felony. I did my time, took responsibility for what I did and tried to better myself, then made it happen. In my state this was done under Article 893.
