Okay so today the plan is not exactly simple but we'll be okay. Here's the fastest method for getting ancient seeds in bulk. I really like exploring these sorts of mechanics in Stardew Valley... ENJOY and like/subscribe if you want

In Summary: Step 1: Take a picture of your farm and mark seed maker spots Step 2: Keep inserting things into the seed maker until you find an ancient seed. Then, when you find one, mark the place and time you put in the seed. Step 3: Mark another spot 10 tiles to the left. Reset the day, and put a seed maker here, too. Place an ancient seed here 10 minutes after you put in the previous seed. Both should have an ancient seed

Just saw this and man this is sick. I realised it had something to do with the time of day and tile just accidentally when I was playing multiplayer with friends. I had frozen time while waiting for friends to connect and the seed maker kept spitting out ancient seeds, but finding a pattern with it and then gaming the pattern is genius =P

I got so lucky one time when I got 1 ancient fruit seed during my very first winter. When I threw a Snow Yam in a seed maker, and it was my first time to use a snowmaker too! Didn't think it was anything special until I read about ancient seed online. Lol. Good thing I kept it for a while.

Columns are vertical, not left and right. Like a column in a building, most famously Roman and Greek architecture. Rows can be either up and down or left and right depending on the context, but when dealing with a grid scenario such as a spreadsheet or a top down perspective game such as Stardew, a row is left and right. It also helps to think of a theater. When you think of what row you're sitting in, the row is always left to right. Other than that slightly confusing mix up, great guide!

Will this work even if i use the Automate mod, or do i have do i have to put those crops myself? Edit: oh wait nevermind it wont. The time has to be the same. I can only produce one ancient fruit seed at a tile on the given time of day. I'll just be wasting crops

I watched this video after putting like 300 cranberries through seed makers and getting nothing. Shortly after I got an ancient fruit seed and happened to notice that I had put the berry in at 8:30. So the next day I moved 1 spot to the left and at 8:30 got another ancient fruit seed. The next day moved another spot to the left and then every 10 spaces left. Put out 5 seed makers and got 3 more.

So, in short you can make this work in a fairly practical way. Just know that if you find 1 then the next day at the same time you can get another if you move 1 spot left. Also on the same day you can get ancient fruit seeds if you go 10 spaces left every 10 minutes going from right to left. Have to set them up ahead of time. GL

You guys know there is a small chance to get the seeds from the travelling merchant? if you buy one, exit his shop, then re enter it, it will refresh the shop allowing you to buy infinite seeds. all you need is money.

does this work on the beach farm? it works when i go left 10 spaces every ten minutes but when i go down after 50 minutes it doesnt work and ive tried on multiple seed makers 50 minutes after they produced an ancient seed

Okay i guess i'll do it the old fashion way.. it's cool if you really want to fill up you greenhouse in one day but i think the time you need to first understand the mechanic and then to set up the correct locations and timing... i rather actually play the game and just use my seedmakers inside the greenhouse while i am hunting bat's in the mine..

I really appreciate people who npt only tell me the basics how to play but go the extra mile to try things out. exactly; in its most basic form, the idea is: put a crop in the seedmaker, note the time. if there's no ancient seed, try another time or move the seedmaker around until you find one. the more seedmakers you have, the faster you can figure it out

@@tsvh383 since you're only looking for one, i also like slaying insects in the early levels of the mines as another option to find an ancient seed. On average, you'll get a seed every 200 you slay (0.5% chance) and that usually takes 15-20 minutes

You could try out some mods to spice things up. The Automate mod might be what you're looking for if you want automation. There is also the Deluxe auto grabber mod for auto harvesting global forage daily

One tiny, dumb gripe; Rows are typically left to right, so X coordinates, and columns are typically up and down, so Y coordinates

He was actually correct. Lets say you have a table and you number the columns 1-10. If you want to move left and right throughout it, starting at column 1 row 1, then moving to the right would put you in column 2 row 1. Moving right again would put you in column 3 row 1 and so on. So you can see how changing the x-coordinate would change the column number.

Man the thing is, once you do this then there is not a bit fun in creating an ancient seed farm in your greenhouse. I am not against playing this game tryhard and digging up things and i also am one of the people that try to min max everything bc its the only way things satisfy me but some times you have to obey the rules to have fun and the content you are showing is simply a glitch not a manupilation or anything. Everything requires progress in this game and its the only thing that makes the game somewhat enjoyable. It is like killing the final boss in the first objective

that's totally fair and i encourage you to play how it fits for you. i personally enjoy these sorts of things (otherwise i wouldn't do all of this effort to make a video) and i don't think it's right to judge anyone's enjoyment of something they like. you can do your thing and enjoy it! i can also do my thing; i do hope you reconsider your opinion on what glitches are though... the game is working as intended in this case

And if you dont have any? You're gonna go rummaging around for artifact spots, wait ages for it to grow just to harvest a fruit that could get you 1-3 seeds at most every week. That would take ages.
