Sometimes we just need to take a step back and ground ourselves again. I realised I had been overwhelming myself so much with challenges that I just needed to go back to basics and keep things simple.
It's okay to play it safe at times, especially when you're feeling vulnerable.
Grab yourself something to eat and join me as we get back on track together.

Hi Alyce! You are absolutely right about taking a step back and not overwhelm ourselves. I get very anxious later in the day as well, I get very nervous prior to meal times. Dinner is always the hardest and I get very worked up.As always thank you so much for sharing, and remember YOURE NOT ALONE!!!!! 🤗🤗

Well done for recognising you were putting too much pressure on yourself. I've done that a lot in the past too, and I'm now also working on trying to be a bit kinder to myself. I love your cat😊 my cat always seem to sense when I'm struggling and gives me cuddles❤

Alyce, your videos could never be boring. Sometimes we just need some extra time to sit back and relax. It's better to make a pause and focus on what you need at the moment than to take two steps back. We are all here with you on this journey, you can count on us. The important thing it's to never give up 😊😊

good on you for recognizing that you need a more relaxed day in recovery while keeping your commitment to get back on track. you’re wise to be as kind to yourself as you can be on this journey. it makes sense that you’ve been feeling burnt out from challenges; you’ve had amazing successes in your past few videos, and i know they take a lot of effort on top of dealing with life stressors you mentioned like weight changes, shifting family dynamics, and preparing for uni. remember that slow progress is still progress - whatever speed you can handle that will still take you forward is a speed worth going, even if it feels slow or frustrating or hard. i hope you feel no shame about having a lighter day with safe foods. even in this video you still challenged yourself with the cookie which deserves to be celebrated. it’s a testament to your resilience that even when you were feeling so justifiably run down, you were still able to challenge yourself. it’s amazing to watch you, alyce - you really are a beacon of inspiration to so many disordered folk in recovery, myself included :)

I have some big challenges coming up so like you said, pacing myself will be really important. My birthday is in 1.5 weeks and for dinner I'll be having BBQ mango dijon chicken kebobs (Also risky because we're letting Dad BBQ again, so it had better be cooked this time!) with mocha amaretto Tartufo (Italian ice cream) for dessert. On Sunday (3 days later) my brother and nephew will becoming over for a special lunch, so I'll take it back to basics in between. You are always an inspiration, no matter what, and self awareness and compassion will help get you through. As always your insights are valuable and I appreciate you being so honest about where you are.

another thing - you are so consistently positive and authentic, but i know performing for an audience is hard and can feel fake, especially when your internal dialogue is screaming something entirely different. if you need to vent thoughts and feelings that you can’t get out of your head, that is an authentic experience and it’s part of recovery. you can express your fears in your videos and still do the hard things. you can show your weaknesses and shortcomings as well as your triumphs. vulnerability is beautiful and important and real, though it’s severely lacking in the online influencer sphere. you’ve championed that, and the more you can embrace and share that experience, the more amazing your successes become. only do and say what you’re comfortable with, of course, but feel free to be open in conjunction with your positivity. we’re here to support you!

Breakfast: a bowl of slop and a glass of sugar Snack: more sugar - granola just turns into sugar Lunch: Bread - seriously? It just turns into sugar, and you're washing it down with a glass of sugar in fake 'milk' and then a biscuit...more sugar. Where's the protein? A scraping of hummus doesn't count. Snack: sugar+sugar+sugar+sugar Dinner:?? Snack: ?? Be kind to yourself and eat some proper food. Where's the sunshine? It might be in your handle but it's certainly not showing in your face.
