I really wish would talk a bit more about how harmful misandry is, especially when it is directed at children. I feel like most of us associate the target to be some super privileged macho man (or some weak man that garners even less empathy) and think it's either "not real" or "not a real issue." But my issue has always been with the boys that get affected by it. I remember being a teenager and seeing boys around me get bombarded with the whole casual misandry thing that was a trend on social media back then. Most people dont see how they get affected by these things, it's really only something you see if you are somewhat close to them and speak with them every day.
@FormulaFanboy3 ай бұрын
@@_Lumiere_ Men suffer in silence. Usually we either don't have someone we could trust or get downplayed for anything that affects our mental health. Misandry is very real and it's just as much a problem for adult men as it is for young men.

@_Lumiere_3 ай бұрын
@@FormulaFanboy yep, I'm just trying to appeal to people's empathy, because I think that a lot of the arguments where people claim that "misandry doesnt exist" are built on their shared feeling of holding men to this pretty harsh standard of enduring things like that. Speaking about how it affects boys would maybe shift the tone of the discussion from the natural state of being critical of men to that of empathy (at least I would hope so). Asking for empathy for men has proven to be a difficult point to argue in the past, unfortunately.

CPS oughta get involved but depending on the state she's in, the kid could be in a worse situation afterwards. Gives off hardcore "I had a child at 17 and never developed as a human being" vibes
@jacktringoli3299Ай бұрын
You know what the child growing up in foster care is probably better than growing up raising by a single mother who hates you and gets railed by many different men for money which I'd argue probably has the same odds of the child being abused compared to being in foster care or whatever it's called now She hates him it's clear as day and the odds of her getting drunk and really high (cause let's be honest she probably takes x or molly or coke etc.) and doing something incredibly stupid to the child so she can be "free" are not very good odds. I had a mom just like her and she literally abandoned me at the airport to go fly away with some guy and left me behind and didn't call my dad to get me until after she landed 6 hours later so I was in an airport for 6 hours alone at the age of 3 unsupervised (aside from the airport staff that found me) until my dad found out and got me. I'm sure you can imagine what could have happened and that's why I say that child is better off in foster care which is something local and state governments need to focus and fund more so the horror stories from being an orphan become incredibly rare.
@cosmicmuse2195Ай бұрын
@@jacktringoli3299 Fair enough. I do agree with foster parents needing heavier monitoring. Too much bad happens under their supervision, especially if multiple children are being fostered. Even if the parents themselves are good, there is little that protects children from each other.

@@jenniferb.awesome Im so sorry you went through this too. My mom was the same way in public. Acted sweet and was a demon behind the scenes. It took my dad divorcing her for abusing him for it to all come out. (They were swingers so she frequently had men over while being married). Thank you for sharing your story with me, it helps me feel less alone in this. Im glad you are still here💗

Trauma dump is crazy but it sucks. People forget they are living for the first time. So if they didn't grt the proper training. There's no way they going to treat their kids any better

Wisdom is wasted on foolish elders - for they never learned to understand why youth is often wasted on the young. In fact, I can't help but be disgusted at ANY reason an adult would try to rationale child abuse...
