@@chassegallerie2910I absolutely enjoyed the witch from mercury. It was the first Gundam series I watched as it aired. When I got up and took breakfast, my first instinct was to tune in my brujita de mercurio. And I think a lot of us know that it was hot garbage, like seriously how can you f up so badly? Suletta and MioMio needed a deeper romantic development IF and only IF they wanted to go through that route. Guel was my fav, that guy lived and gave my fav episode when he was imprisoned in earth. But the ending, the ending was so damn bad, pacing all over the place, cliffhangers seeking a different development, and so much more. Yet, I remember it fondly, it is no excuse as it was that bad, heck my fav anime of all time was Darling in the Franxx and I will not defend it if you think it was trash, cause it ended like that, but my love for it will persist throughout years

@@yake2685 I enjoyed it too. But it's hot garbage as you stated. Wing is a masterpiece of writing and well, simply a masterpiece compared to it. But for a lot of people, talking bad about it, is wrong 'cuz it's the first "progressive" Gundam serie. Which is why I said that if we have other Gundam series featuring gay characters and female main that are better than WFM, then people will realize how bad it actually is. I've never seen Darling in the Franxx, but heard lots of bad things about it, which make me not want to watch it. It's kinda like the Cybuster anime: It's actually pretty bad, the only thing that relate this anime to Cybuster it has is the titular mech, the rest is completely different. It could've ended being good, but it was bad. Just talking 'bout it in case you ever see it on a website and wanna watch it. Just don't, those are hours of your life you'll never get back.

I think you may want to play the franchise from COD WaW back. Doesn't exactly glorify the conflict, and in WaW's case, you are judged for your actions during the Soviet Campaign. I enjoy today's COD games for the dumbass bullshit I can pull with weapon customization with friends. I enjoy Gunpla and Gundam as a hobby that allows me to enjoy various mobile suits and study the series' messages about how war affects the human condition.

(remembering wen i was a kid i would turn on toonami late at night and the original gundam would b on, at the time not knowing wat i was watching) so seeing all this just hypes it up so much more...

My brothers are confused but they got the spirit! ...I think. So in short, to the unknowing: Welcome to Gundam, a long list of series about child soldiers witnessing horrors beyond human comprehension while fighting with giant robots, with the first series being the closest to CoD, and the latest being the closest to AC6. Anyways, this entire thing has been a ROLLER COASTER for me ths past year. Starting with Armored Core 6 which unlocked a deeper love for Mechs I hadn't had since Titanfall 2, transitioning to Anime month on Xbox where I gor both seasons of G:Witch for 10 bucks, opening THAT rabbit hole that led to a lot of binge watching of multiple series, and now my latest and favorite obsession is on my favorite time killer! It has been a wild ride for me to say the least.

Whenever i try to explain the Gundam plot to somebody i always start off by asking if they've seen the movie Interstellar, if they say yes then i explain that the space colonies (just like at the end of Interstellar) started a war with earth for independance and the primary weapons of war for both sides are man-piloted robots. It's my best "Gundam for dummies" explanation.

For new people or people outside of fandom, the number of shows to watch and timelines to keep track of must be drowning their brains. But for us long-time fans, our brains are still dehydrated, and we need a lot more.

Funny thing is, I get the RX-78-2 and Char's Zaku II Custom being part of the whole collaboration... what I didn't expect was Aerial. I mean, Ok she's from the newest gundam series so that makes sense but still came out of left field. Honestly I half expected Barbatos and a friend of mine wanted Heavy Arms.

I'm surprised this video needed to be addressed by how "uninformed" Non-Gundam fans reveal false information because they don't get or know Gundam... over a more grim news about Amuro's voice actor. If any CoD players are reading the comments and want to get started with Gundam with the more high octane series to scratch the adrenaline itch I know some of you guys have, I’d recommend Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans is probably one of the more recent action packed Gundams. If you want something a bit slower but surprisingly tense as time goes on, I’d recommend Gundam 00. Witch From Mercury is pretty good too, but what Kakarot says about being kind of like a high school show at first is true, so if you can sit through the first couple of episodes of that stuff, the animation is amazing.

I feel your pain man! Definitely seen some people on KZfaq vids talking about crossovers with Devil May Cry and Street Fighter. When it was obvious these people didn't know anything about Devil May Cry and Street Fighter. They pronounced so many names incorrectly lol! It's all good though. Some people are younger than us or are just into different things. Crossover are for getting people to check something else out. It's important to be kind to them and welcome them into fandoms if they decide to come along for the ride. This video does a great job of that so nice work!

As someone who is both a degenerate CoD player and a massive Gundam fan, there is a part of me that is genuinely hopeful that some players will take this as an opportunity to learn more about the Gundam franchise as a whole. I mean hey, these are CoD players we're talking about, but some of us have more than two brain cells! (i think)

Man I think the best thing the Gundam franchise has going for it is the versatility of the MSs in terms of mobility. You want to tell a Top Gun like story about high speed loose canon pilots? You got it! You want a high tension drama with characters just breaking down throughout a long series of jungle patrols? You got it!

Im honestly shocked they didnt go with the wing gundam. Gundam Wing arguably one of the most well known Gundam series in the west due to it being the one of the first to be dubbed in the 90s.

For new people to Gundam I always recommend Gundam 00, I think it comes out on top of the other AUs in terms of its animation quality and characters. It’s just great all around. It’s not too long, has a great movie to end the show, it’s probably the best Gundam show from an objective standpoint for newcomers. Like I think it’s totally fair to like others more, but it’s just so solid in every aspect. It has the least amount of issues and inconvenience to enjoy, and its political side is very relevant to this day. It touches on very real things that are happening in modern day. It’s very Gundam, and will give new viewers a good taste of what the broader franchise has to offer. Something I think Witch from Mercury doesn’t do well. I love the show, but it’s very different from normal Gundam. 00 I think is the perfect entry point.
