The band formed in 2011 when the members were attending Belmont University in Nashville, and have released 4 studio albums in the past decade. Currently, they’re on tour with NEEDTOBREATHE.
We talk to Judah about how heartbreak and personal struggles nearly ended the band, how Judah finds a personal sense of responsibility to be vulnerable in his songwriting, and how the band stays grounded in the chaos of touring 200+ days out of the year.

We just saw Judah & the Lion in Omaha a few days ago. We've loved the band for a long time but this was our first opportunity to see them live and one of our first reactions to each other was "He really cares about interacting with everyone in the room" - I thoroughly enjoyed the goofiness and quirkiness of the performance as well. My husband and I CANNOT wait to see them again and could watch them in concert for HOURS. Fans for life! 😊 And now we get this incredible conversation?! Connection is truly such a powerful part of their music. So many songs have left me feeling less alone. Thank you for your contribution to music and humanity, Judah; Your songs are making an enormous positive impact to many!! The openness and vulnerability of this conversation was so beautiful - Thank you to all three of you! 💜

The personal interaction at a club show can't be replaced. I'd rather see Judah & the Lion in Athens, GA or Columbia, SC club above an arena any day.
