John White's (of Roanoke fame) watercolors were first hand depictions. To put it mildly, at least in warm weather, butts and boobs were out in the open.

So, the shell beads, I assume are wampum?
@JYFMuseums
@JYFMuseums Жыл бұрын
Wampum are shell beads made from quahog or channeled whelk , however not all shell beads are wampum. Wampum is associated more with the tribes of the northeast, and while wampum is found in Virginia it is not as common or of the same quality as wampum from the northeast.

I love the purpose of the video but as an Algonquin women I'm wondering why you both are dressed in Algonquin regalia instead of simply hiring Algonquin people as models to recreate our Indigenous history.

i’m sure that they would love to have more staff and volunteers, but it’s more that this this is so nitch and unknown not many people know how to volunteer or even know about this hobby in general
