Dynamo roller is a skirmisher that takes advantage of shooting over ledges, as well as excelling at holding an iron fist over a controlled area with its threating range and paint output. It of course is much weaker in an area without paint control but you cant win at everything Edit: it should be noted that after 1 main of Ink saver main, 3 subs gets you an extra swing. This should be kept in mind when making a dynamo build

I believe dynamo is meant as a skirmishing weapon, but I normally play it more aggressively. It's pretty flexible and can fit any role well personally

I normally just play aggressive with every weapon. Doesn’t work with most weapons as you could probably guess

it also paints a huge amount of turf at once, but has a heavy ink tank so its like a glass cannon inker

I still think this weapon's kit is mediocre and the weapon as a whole needs a buff. Just goes to show with the relitively balanced state of the game, you can make anything work. This weapon is just more work ^^

@@Seggtor agreed on that statement about the kit dynamo relly would have benefited if it had burst bomb and a speacial that had more ink coverage and displacement like ink storm or booyah

@@slimeplayz164 Personally as I saw some others say it around, anything but sprinkler could've made this kit overall better, because tacticooler is good enough to turn into a support when needed, but something like mines or sticky bomb maybe (kinda same kit as zap 85) could've made it better, because sprinkler as a sub for this is... yeah

I find that Dynamo is a very bait and punish type weapon, which is a rare breed of archetype to see for a playstyle (at least in shooters) from my experience. It shares a lot of characteristics with anchor weapons, but it doesn't carry that sustained threat of something like the hydra or e-liter's line of sight. This weapon plays just behind your team in the field rather than as a true backline, and plays footsies with the enemy since it's too slow to perform traditional skirmisher tasks like roaming around, taking distant fights, or flanking. It is very good at threatening space with horizontal flicks and discouraging distant threats with its vertical flicks. These actions force a response from the enemy, and the Dynamo user reacts accordingly; Bait and punish.

Unfortunately I seem to be attracted to unusual/off meta kits and I've chosen to pick up the dynamo as well. My initial impressions were about the same and still confused as how it's actually supposed to be played. Atleast getting splats is funny and satisfying :)

The way I see this weapon now, it's a skirmishing support. It can ink well, but you can't be an anchor because of how vulnerable and bad the Splatling/charger matchups are. It's kit tries too hard to be supportive imo.

I'd like to see a dynamo loadout that plays better to its oppressive nature. Toxic Mist or Burst Bomb sub with Inkstorm, Wavebreaker, or Ink Vac special. I also feel its damage consistency needs a buff.

Personally I think either mines, or toxic mist could go well with ink storm, like toxic mist to slow down the ennemy and deal some damage to him while you're at it, and let the storm finish them off when they can't run away quick enough

It's a skirmish back to mid liner that plays as a sort of anchor. You punish any mistakes your enemies make as safely as you can, you can stall out a chokepoint pretty much all on your own, you are a beast under a ledge with the hflick, the vflick paints really well, surprisingly good chip damage and mobility. You can play it to spam cooler, paint zone, hide under ledges, anchor or do whatever you want to with it as its so flexible. Also nintendo needs to give it burst bomb PLEASE.

at first when I used dynamo I thought it was incredibly bad in this game but then I started getting every weapon to 1 star because I wanted all of them,and I'm seriously wanting to main dynamo and a throw away just for fun

I have done that in a previous video switching back and forth. But in this case I just applied a low pass & High pass filter to make a muffled sound effect.

I personaly want Ink Vac or Booyah Bomb on it ^^. I really don't like it as an anchor as Chargers and Splatlings eat you for Breakfast. It doesn't help that Fizzy Bombs with LDE lategame outink you which is sad.

A lot of Quick Respawn, Comeback hat and Stealth Jump shoes lol. The weapon needs to go in and can really do that without burst bomb.

So cool to play against a viewer ! We all have our bad days. Mahi Mahi is an awful map and looking back on the video, your team comp was so bad. No proper frontline, 2 supportive skirmishers and 2 backlines on a small map. 🤡 Once the tower reaches the enemy base platform it's pretty much GG. You get sharked in your base and the armor does nothing to help you. Good luck in your next games ;)

What do you suggest? Idk how they would buff this weapon without it feeling disgusting. Maybe more consistent KOs up close ? thicker paint for vertical flick ?

@@Seggtor Needs to be about 10% more ink efficient, I think horizontal flicks should be ever so slightly faster, needs a bit more kill consistency, and it absolutely needs a bit better paint and power on its suuuuuper slow vertical flicks. I honestly think every roller in the game needs about 10% faster roll speed and to have rolling use up slightly less ink. As it stands rolling is pretty pointless even for painting usually.

@@Al0neStillAlive That is actually a good take. I would be down to making rolling useful and worth doing. I'm fine with it being punishing in terms of ink consumption if it ever became lethal on a competitive level though.

I’m pretty sure dynamo is a support weapon I don’t think skirmishing with dynamo is very smart due to its low mobility it works better as a zone guard and zones really well! Plus tacticooler is a support ult and sprinkler allows for free paint and ult building and controlling more space. No skirmishing here. ❤

Eh. Tacticooler and sprinkler just makes it so not threatening. Guess I understand the support playstyle. It should midline and threaten the enemy team a bit, pure painting is not enough.
