For 70 of my 72 years I've had a cat then last year my 21 yr. Sugar Kitty passed on and I won't be around another 20 yrs. to dedicate to another cat. There's a hole in my soul.

The best thing is that it doesn't matter to them whether you are old or young, slim or fat, beautiful or not so good looking, rich or poor, handicapped or not; they love you inspite of all your shortcomings.

I love cats so much.

I had a hysterectomy. Mittie stayed by me thru all of it. Then Mittie got a UTI. I took that cone off, layed him on my lap. He was so thrilled to have that damn cone off. You could see the love we shared. Still, to this day. I love my pooder tat. Meow 🐾

What is so cool is to see men being loved on by their cats! There is such a stereotype of a "crazy cat lady" but kitties love their male parents just as much! I really admire a man who can accept such affection from a cat and value it like these guys do. They must know that felines are much more discerning on who they give their heart to!

Until 2 yrs ago never had an indoor cat. Always a dog person. I have a chubby 12 yo pug girl and 2 three yo cats. One was a barn cat baby from my neighbor's sister. She hid for a couple of months but gradually came out and about. She loves petting but goes crazy if you try to pick her up. She always tries to climb on my back while I am cooking. The other came as a stray. A gorgeous calico. She prefers to be outside but in last few months she comes in at night to sleep with me. She always comes to hug me several times at night. So cute she puts her little paw around me and it is so sweet. She will let you pick her up but when she wants out she is ready to go. She stays in our yard, does not roam. Our other cat will go next door and loves to climb trees. They hate each other but both like the dog. After 2 years they still hiss and stare.

Cats usually dislike direct eye contact but squinting at them is acceptable. A slow blink is a cat's way of saying hello to friends and family - so try a slow blink and squint to your beloved kitty or to make friends with new kitties. Also, always feed your puss fresh, raw meat - not tinned food or biscuits which are low quality protein and too salty. Meeow!

Cats are so different from dogs. Cats are so much more cerebral until you connect with them. If you are able to connect with their minds…ie spirit, they look up into your face/eyes and head bonc when they feel safe in your presence.

My cat absolutely adored me. She would do head-butted, rubbing against me, if I laid on the sofa she had to lay on the back above me. If I got up to get a drink in the kitchen she just had to follow me.

Unlike dogs(nothing against them or anything) cats make you work real hard for there affections and when it finally happen it is the greatest reward your get! You would both feel genuine love they keep mentioning in the bible or sunday school there's nothing greater than that!
