When i first got to know NCT, I was so confused and thought it was so complicating. After couple of weeks, i began to know each and every member's name, the unit they belong to and how the NCT U unit works. "It's so easy, man". 😉

this reminded me how i got into nct and the funny thing is that actually i dont remember how XD like i know it doesn't make much sense but i just started to listen to their music and all of the sudden i knew their names within idk a day or so. so anytime someone asks me how i got into nct i always tell them that i just blinked and boom knew everything🤣

It took me 2 days to memorize them when there were 18 members, but then every year they started including new ones and that took me 3 years to get real into it

I mean,, I learned them all by accident in, like, a few weeks. I found it helpful to learn them one unit at a time. I did dream first, which made it convenient when I was learning 127 after, bc I only had to learn 7 members instead of 9 (since I already knew Mark and haechan) and I learned wayv after that.

soooo... i relocated to USA recently and i had a phone case with all 23 members of nct....the first reaction of everyone was is this bts??? and i was DoeS bts HavE 23 MembErS??? the next question they asked me was how do you know everyone they look alike..... how do i say i struggled like a crazy person and had to watch100+ vids to recognize who is who

honestly after you know nct its super easy and straightforward looking back at it. it was pretty easy learning nct for me because i had my interest in them which drove me to understand quicker and i had liked kpop for over a year at that point so I knew how to learn members faces using certain techniques

Honestly I feel like once you know a couple K-pop groups, differentiating faces is not that hard anymore, you might get confused sometimes but in general I can usually recognise the members that catch my attention in a single try, the others don't take that long after that

Great video. I made a whole slideshow presentation to teach my mom about NCT as well. Some things she just picked it up on the way, but she knows every member, the concept, and most people's personalities. I started with just recognizing them(I told her she needed to know if she saw them on the streets) Then we watched some music videos, and then funny videos to get to know them.

When I was first getting into nct I was told to learn each person by unit. Starting with 127, Dream then Wayv. Then I would just watch a bunch of MV and each time someone showed up on screen I would say there name.

I really wish I could see nct through the eyes of me before I learned almost all of the members. I remember it seeming like a blur and that everyone seemed like each other, hair colour changes not helping. Now I look at nct and I wonder how I wasnt able to pick up on the obvious differences and uniqueness of each member. Duality is one of my favourite things in kpop, especially nct. Wdym bubu cuddled in his blanket hugging his stuffed toy and taeyong growling in tiger inside is the same person????

it's 2023 and the confusion got bigger lmaoo so when i started explaining the whole nct to my sister, i couldn't leave out the important details of full nct (w/ lucas, shotaro and sungchan) + newteam that will possibly change name by december and the non-nct groups that got nct spice in them aka superM and riize hehe also, threw in smrookies because my sister does deserve the whole story but i also wanted to add more lines to the essay i was reciting

For me the best way to get to know them is by watching their promotional content first, like the game-interview kind of things, because they usually show or call their names throughout the shows, also because they dress casually, with natural make up. maybe weekly idols, and for 127 they did many shows in US like Glamour, Allure, BuzzFeed. Experienced heartbreak of Dreamies grads system in 2 weeks, dramatically cried. But 2 months after, SM announced grads system will no longer exist. 🤡 And they’re pretty much the first Kpop group I’ve ever get into in my whole life~ without any formal guides or explanations, just explore!! Oh BUT i do have nctzens friends, so when i was confused, i asked them. That’s the “guide” too i guess.

I think it's easier to get into NCT OT23 than people think, because they're divided into different sub-units so you can focus on one sub-unit at a time before getting into another one until you get them all. You know, just like it's easier to remember big numbers by divide it into sections. idk if SM is genius when thinking about this concept or what.
