I feel you on being anxious/stressed. I just started my last year of university while working part time. I am paralyzed by the stress of all the assignments (plus master thesis) which of course only makes the stress worse because i end up falling behind my time plan….not gonna lie at this point i am looking forward to being done with university. 😅

I went to Iceland this spring - you’ll have a great time! It wasn’t exceptionally cold in temperature, but very windy. I’d highly recommend going to Diamond Beach and Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon.

I’ve come down with flu recently and it’s been horrible, these vlogs are one of the few things that really help me feel better! Ty v much Emma :) xx

Iceland is so gorgeous, I'm sure you're gonna have a great time on your trip! One of my recommendations would be to do a guided tour to see puffins. I did one on a small island in the north called Drangey, it was incredible. If you're on the east coast, there's a beautiful small town called Seyðisfjörður that's definitely worth checking out. And yes to whale-watching! Hearing you talk about Iceland makes me want to go back too💜

I just finished Hester and loved it!

A geology professor interrupted class to tell an Iceland story about four professors caught in an unexpected eruption. Fiery rocks were falling around them but they stayed in one spot, seemingly having a calm conversation. So, naturally one of the first questions to them upon their safe return was the topic of it. They debated the math of running away in a shower of stones and that of staying put.

I'm only half way through the vlog but had to pause to tell you that orangey-red lipstick looks so good on you! 🤩

Emmie! I went to Iceland and if you're in Reykjavik, the best restaurant I found was Svarta Kaffið. They only menu item is soup! The place is so cozy and warm. They invite local chefs to prepare one vegetarian and one meat soup that day and they are served in fresh bread bowls! I think you would love it. Enjoy your trip!

Ciau, Emma! Missed your vlogs so ty for making this. I also went to a concert recently, it was The Cure and also the biggest concert I've ever been to. I love their music but tbh that big of an event was a bit too much for me. At one point I thought I was going to get sick from how tired I was and my legs hurt sooo bad from standing for 3 or more h as there were not a lot of songs that you could dance to. I guess I needed this to know that big concerts aren't my vibe. haha Love the Calcifer screentime. About the collar for Calcifer - remove the little bell, it might be cute but cats have very sensitive hearing and it will be annoying for him. As I can hear in vlogs, he like bells in toys but wearing one around the neck and hearing it all that time is another thing. also happy to see you excited about all the trips and adventures you're going to have. Hope you'll have a wonderful time at home and in Iceland :)

For your Spain read I recommend A Heart So White by Javier Marías. A spectacular (but challenging) book, really one of the best things ever written in our country's literature IMO. The author recently passed away as well :(

Careful with bag handles and cats. My cat got his head stuck in the handle at night and got so freaked out he somehow split his nail from trying to get out frantically. Now I always cut the handles open so he definitely doesn’t get stuck

If you want to choose another book for Spain maybe you can choose a book written in one of the beautiful co-official languages of Spain. For example, written in Catalan you have "When I sing, mountains dance" by Irene Solà, which I think you'll love. It's the story of the people (and maybe not-people, like mushrooms, bears or the mountains themselves) who live and have lived in a little town in the Pyrenees. A really special book, in my opinion. (If you want a classic you also have "In Diamond Square" by Mercè Rodoreda, the story of a woman during and after the Spanish Civil War).
