Well presented. If you plan on going to places like Turkey, Tunisia, or Morocco, then go with steal. Easier to repair under harsh conditions. Both options 3 & 4 look good.👍 4 painted white is a great choice the brings a beefy retro style to the overal look. If are going to do this do it now. In about a year or two it will most likely end up as an overdone "London" look.😊 Use the white wheels to blow up your Instagram account. It really does make your Defender look awesome!!👍💪🛠 Side note: what would happen if you did option 4 but with Orange and added orange accents tow points door handles etc. Thoughts

Great video! I think, that second version is more aggressive, and more utilitarian, if you love ride in the dirt. But be careful, after ride you will need to wash rims from the inside, or it will hit on the steering wheel on the highway. I really like your videos, desided to modefie my 110 after your videos, and now building project like you, but its really hard with spare parts in Russia.

I think The white wheels look very eye catching. If you felt it wasn’t working it won’t hurt your wallet too much repaint them black or that twisted alloy grey colour. Tough choices for you good luck.

Option 2 definitely. The white wheels look ok on heritage colours but definitely not on black imho. Also consider Toyo tyres instead of BF. More aggressive and fantastic tyres

The wolf wheel is the perfect compromise from aggressive and original look. Is strong, is tubeless and offers a larger wheelbase. With bfgoodrich all terrain I think is the best option for a adventure defender.

Yesterday I took off 5x 16inch VBS Nemesis wheels. BFG MT KM2s, only done 4k miles if you fancy buying them!

We have the same tyres fitted as you, and we are also considering the BF Goodrich KO2s as a replacement! I think we're going to wait a bit longer to get some more use out of the current tyres first though, as the BF Goodrich KO2s are _very_ expensive. Especially when changing to this tread from something else, like we are, because then we have to buy 5. 🤑 We find the current tyres annoying in that they're always picking up small stones and holding on to them. Often they also flick them out at higher road speeds, which can damage paintwork or chip off under chassis protection etc. Regarding your choices, I would probably do option 1 and put the money saved into the tyres. But if you have the money to spend, option 4 looks nice. Keep in mind that we use our LRs in a mixed capacity. Mostly on-road as a leisure vehicle, but sometimes off-road on gentle lanes. You don't want to choose a tyre that prevents you doing the latter for fear of damage, as that restricts the usage of Scout in quite a negative way.

Option two imo. Option 4 if you went for the black version, but not the white. Doesn't look right to me on a black truck.

HI Im still riding with the factory 16" silver boost alloys - would it be viable to spray these black and then add a more aggressive tyre say BFG KO2? Another consideration is I only have 20mmm YES 20mm clearance in my garage - if I fit the BFG KO2s will it raise the overall height of the vehicle much? Any advice/views much appreicated.

Mmm, not so sure about white wheels. My choice would be Wolff steel wheels in black, as long as you don't mind the extra weight. At the end of the day, you should get what you are happiest with.

I think the white wheels make Scout look a bit like he’s wearing a pair of Nike Air trainers, when really he wants a pair of Timberland boots! Just personally it would be option 2 - steel wheels always seem to add credibility to a LR!

Sawtooth work just fine with 30mm space plus BF.. I vote for just change your tire

Black Bowler alloys + BF Goodrich All Terrain. I have them on my dark blue 100 Utility. You will need to add Mudstuff spats to avoid mud up the side of the car but they are easy to fit and work brilliantly. Happy to send pics

My 90 came with the same silver boost alloys, I changed them to Wolfs and the car looked great, I loved the rugged look but in the end I felt like the look was too “military”. I actually had the original silver boost alloys powder coated satin black and put them back on with some aggressive Kumho MT 235/85/16 tyres and I’m really happy with the look, it strikes just the right balance without looking too “chavvy” / overdone. I would be careful with spacers and stuff, they don’t serve any practical purpose other than looks and I’ve heard about people having bad experiences with them. If you’re not careful you can end up with the car looking too “extreme” and might get tired of that look after a bit. But, enjoy your deliberation!

I would go for black banded Wolf wheels from Mahker!

Would get some Steels of the offset you want and sell the spacers.

I love option 2, and 4. Definitely more interesting and unique. To make the last option look less out of place, make it a slightly muted white (super light grey that's so light that it looks white)

Option 5 Bowler Wheels on BFG's?

The black SAW TOOTH are, for me, the most beautiful (as standard), they appeared in 2012 and said goodbye with the Adventure and the Autobiography that black January 29, 2016. What can we say about the WOLF, a true legend, they come from the "combat" of the XD (Extra Duty 1990) and they are also beautiful. The modern ROSTYLES(18") are fine, but they evoke a "borrow" from RANGE to the NINETY. If You are inspired by the army, look at the BLINDO (indestructible), the HUTCHINSON (with beadlook) too. If racing inspires You...the BOWLER Look at KAHN, BORBET or MAZTKER TORNADO and "take a look" around Nakatanenga, but be careful with ANR CLASSIC 8/16(ET 0), as they give a ONE TONE touch that is difficult to escape. I have a black 110 puma like yours. It came with sawtooths which I love, would be interested to see it with the spacers as I've considered adding them to mine. As I'll be driving it this winter in Canada I'll be grabbing wolf rims and getting and aggressive looking winter truck tire for my winters. I think it'll look great. So can't go wrong with either choice though those twisted rims do look sexy.

Option 2 Is really your only option if youre genuinely building an off roader. The rest are just bling and no function.

I think option 2 or 4 but as previosuly stated will option 4 be suitalble for any light laning or will tou be worried about damaging them and losing that offroad capability? I would definatey add to the kerb appeal and make it stand out 👌 Option 2 just because i love the Snatch wagon look from the 90's, can you get these wider to increase the stance without needing the spacers? Some tough decisions ahead and either way it will stand out, cant wait to tune in to see what you do. 👍

I think the white wheels look nice but possibly after a bit of time you might wish they were black. Option 3 i think would be best.

Personally I think you should go with option 2 because as you said, it gives Scout a more utilitarian look. Option 4 is definitely out there and not something you'd normally see but I don't think that they go with Scout and the style you're going for. Maybe if Scout was a different colour option 4 would be a great choice.

You could do the Wolf style in white if you want the striking white and utilitarian look. I had alloys on my 90 but swapped for white Wolf wheels as mine is for working on a small holding not driving in the city

MoD spend millions of pounds and thousands of hours on testing so we don’t have too, fit 16” Blindos with Discoverer STT Pro, but only if you’re actually going off road, if you’re going to continue to drive a road Queen, keep what you’ve got, same as 95% of other Defender owners. (Definitely DO NOT fit a Wolf wheel), because you don’t own a Wolf !
