Heathers first time riding in advanced and she got passed by Kayla Yaakov, what a treat! I told Heather to just ride her own ride and don't worry about who's the fastest one out there, there's ALWAYS someone faster!
Hope y'all are enjoying the track day videos! Thanks for watching =)

You both did well. Heather got over her tumble really well. That Kayla is an ace rider considering her age.

Where are you all from and do you go to different states and tracks? I ride in Louisville Kentucky and Southern Indiana and would love to ride with you all sometime. You definitely could teach me stuff.

Don't take this the wrong way Heather but, welcome to the "club". I've been down a few times and it's never a good feeling.....🤦🏻‍♂Huge respect for getting back on to enjoy the rest of the weekend. 😎👊Always learning, always improving. 😉 Thanks for sharing and keep yourselves safe! 😃👍❤🏍🏁🏆 Randy

Good Job Guy's, one of the hardest things when riding near or close to your limit is to calm your survival response's, hence holding your breath or breaking to hard or early, it's a normal response, one I personally I could never master, even after 2 seasons racing at club level, also it tires you out so much, it's an art to stay calm, I couldn't but still loved it. Ps the Misses and I use to also race as a team "Tribal racing" back in the day... you both remind me of us, great times.

That is so cool that you two raced together! One thing we love about riding the track is there's ALWAYS something new to learn or to improve on, street riding was fun but there's only so much progress you can make on the street and honestly it just didn't feel safe anymore after being on the track. We appreciate you watching! :)

Just because of you guy I went to Jennings this weekend and met some awesome people. Let me say first I enjoy watching you ride. Nice smooth Input. My gold is not to race but to be able to enjoy riding more and to learn what the hell I am doing. You guys are awesome. I will be there for November with a track bike. It’s 46 minutes from my house. Thanks guys. Ride safe.

I was hoping to hear about your experience with slicks. What did you think, which compound did you use? I run the r3 compound most of the time, and just love them. So cool you got to meet Kayla. I am always so amazed at how humble and kind all the MotoAmerica racers are.
@SALTxTHExWOUND
@SALTxTHExWOUND 8 ай бұрын
Hey man, our experience was amazing, to feel the grip instantly was a big boost of confidence, no more guess work on how long it takes to warm up DOT’s. We ran the R3 up front and the R7 in the rear, we’ll likely switch to the R5 or R7 up front once these wear out since Jennings is such an abrasive track. Both compounds felt great and I didn’t have any sliding at all getting back in the 1:26’s. Kayla, Ben Smith, and all the other pro racers we’ve bumped into have always been super humble and kind for sure. Anything else you want to know just let me know. Thanks for watching!

I have some advice / request. Mount your gopro so it sits about 2 inches higher. Before you go out on your sessions wipe down your windscreen and clean the bugs off of it. Most importantly run a clear windscreen, not only is clear better for track use but it provides us better visibility with the ride alongside. Thanks for listening...
@SALTxTHExWOUND

Thanks for the tips! I just put a clear windscreen on Heathers GSXR for the next track day so hopefully we can get some good footage! I need to switch mine out as well here soon. Thanks for watching! :)

Nice work guys. Just be careful with the Dunlops. Make sure they are and stay hot. Periodically check your warmers are on. Plenty times people forget to plug them in or genny runs out of gas or they just break for some reason. Great riding by both of u. Slicks will def give u more quality time in track. Can go balls to the wall the first lap. Hahah. Next up is some wera racing.
@SALTxTHExWOUND
@SALTxTHExWOUND 8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tips! I was definitely OCD about making sure the warmers were on, I also bought a temp gun to check them next time we're at the track. We have run dunlops Q3+, Q4, and Q5 for the past years so we stuck with dunlop but our tire guy sells Pirelli as well. I'm not opposed to trying another brand, any input on one vs the next? Going out and being able to go as fast as you want right out of the blend line was amazing! I don't think I could ever go back to DOT's now that we're spoiled haha Thank you for watching Jeff :)
@jeffo_511
@jeffo_511 8 ай бұрын
@@SALTxTHExWOUND Dunlop is what I run also. It’s a harder carcass than the Pirelli. Pirelli is also a diff profile so you have to change your geometry a little. I prefer the Dunlops but a lot of people run Pirelli also. Both really good tires.

Bruh, right when I finally decided to buy a brand new gsxr 750 the dealer I went to said they’ve gone up in price so it would be $18,000 out the door. After doing the math with base price that’s posted on Suzuki’s, freight/destinstion, sales tax, assembly, dealer fees and the usual miscellaneous bs charges, I’d say they were off about $4,000. How’s that even legal. Watching your videos through out the years made me want one but not at that price.
@SALTxTHExWOUND
@SALTxTHExWOUND 8 ай бұрын
Dude no way, do NOT pay that. Go to another dealer or even another county to find a better. I paid $11k OTD in 2016 for the exact same bike. If nothing else buy a lightly used one. I see 2018-2020’s for $9-10k on marketplace all the time. If I buy another bike it’ll be used most likely. Good luck man, they are excellent bikes. I’ve got over 33k on mine
@cantwheelie_rob
@cantwheelie_rob 8 ай бұрын
@@SALTxTHExWOUND no definitely not paying that. I know things have gone up but that is over the top. I bought my 2018 street triple rs brand new for $10,800. In my head I was going to pay $12k-$14kfor a brand new gsxr750. That guy killed my moral. I’ll still look around other dealers. I’d like a brand new one since I’ll likely keep it for ever because pure bare bone raw powered sports bikes are becoming rare. Bikes with rider aids and electronics are a norm now. 33k miles? You haven’t ridden that bike much since your 30,000 mile bike review almost two years ago. Let me have it if you ain’t gonna ride it. 😂
@VState60
@VState60 3 ай бұрын
@@cantwheelie_robwhen you ride track only 3k miles in two years is a shit ton. Add up the miles you’ve done in the last two years on the street, but only count those spent above 10k RPM + at 50% brake pressure or better, + at 30* or greater lean angle.

I don't understand the title? Are you trying to say that 16yr old girls aren't capable of being good riders?
@SALTxTHExWOUND
@SALTxTHExWOUND 8 ай бұрын
Lol don’t get offended now, just implying that yes it in fact extremely rare for a 16 year old of either genders be as skilled as Kayla is. The fact that she’s a girl really has nothing to do with it, but still extremely impressive.
