Great inspiration to go outside and start a journey. I'm curious if/ what priorities come into focus during your trip and how that has played out in the year following?

Cory S great question. Let my look at my journal and get back you you.

Cory S after a quick review of my journal there are so many things to say to answer this question but if I had to narrow it down I'd say the following. Simply living is hard work. So learn to enjoy the process and turn the struggles into personal challenges you can feel great about overcoming.

I couldn't agree more. I have found that the end goal more often supersedes the means of getting there. Like hedonic adaptation, without another goal on the heels of completion, the journey is forgotten or ignored when that's where the memories and growth really comes from. Thanks for sharing!

With a lump in throat and tears in my eyes, I watch your trip. You film and edit with the premise for the viewer to not just watch but feel, the beauty and emotion that you are in the midst of. Thank you thank you for sharing. I truly was moved by your cinematics and your genuine love of nature and dicovering Her through challenging your selves.

The best provincial park in Ontario in my opinion. I worked for the MNR right out of school as a designer with a landscape architect and got to explore the parks. I have done my fair share of camping from a young age in Ontario and this has been my favorite thus far.

Excellent job capturing all the right moments, and commenting in all the right spots. Beautiful work. My wife and I head out the first week of may for ten days in Killarney and are looking forward to exactly everything in this video. Cheers!

Killarney is by far my favourite park so far! Can't wait to get out there! That camp site you stayed at on Killarney lake is the same one I stayed at last time with my scout group. On our last day on that island we where packing up and a group across the way was yelling at us that there was a black bear on the point. He was way more scared of us and ended up swimming away. It truly shows how one with natural you are out there.

Man, you Canadians are spoilt for beauty and space ! Really enjoyed that. I trawl YT for quality canoe films and this was worth stumbling on. Your narration tells a story, which is sadly missing in some of the more popular ‘bushcraft’ offerings by well known YTubers and most are lacking the quality footage that you've captured here. Loved some of the underwater shots of the paddle, great attention to detail. Greetings from England.
@TrustinTimber

Thanks so much. I'm glad the details are appreciated. I put a lot of time into my videos which isn't all that productive from the KZfaq algorithm perspective if I was trying to grow my channel like other KZfaqrs. However, what's important to me is that in the future I have work I'm proud of, not numbers. Lots of good stuff coming. All the best.

I've enjoyed all the video's you've put out that I've seen so far but this one caught me a little off guard. @Nomadboatbuilding
@Nomadboatbuilding 7 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. It's a long learning curve, at least 15 years to get really comfortable if you are diversified. I'm going on about 24 years now and still find certain areas challenging. Very hard to make a living compared to most woodworking though. You can do well in yacht repairs but that takes time as well. By all means take it up as a hobby though. Tons of fun and it will take all your other woodworking to a new level. Curves will become second nature after a while. Steam bending become like tying your shoes. All those sweeping planks in your woodpile now become A-list materials. Here's a little article I wrote to help you get started. www.nomadboatbuilding.com/wordsite/project/the-nomad-ten-step-program/
