Trust me, Euclid will not disappoint. It might actually be my favorite song on Take Me Back To Eden. It's probably the only album I've ever listened to that is entirely flawless.

This song also just hits hard because of the lyrics dealing with memory and the album title "Sundowning" refers to a phenomena that affects some people where the symptoms of Alzheimer's and dementia worsen at dusk and through the night.

From what I understand and have heard, Take Me Back To Eden is the end of a "trilogy" almost of albums, and the connection becomes very clear when you listen to Euclid, it's like a nice little wrap up of the whole thing.

I just went to the Teeth of God tour back in May 2024 and they opened their set with the Night Does Not Belong to God and ended with Euclid. It was so so so so perfect.

Vessel displays a vocal mastery in the way he splits syllables and stretches notes and words we don’t ‘expect’ to hear that I think is unique to his style. It’s dramatic but hypnotic. Just amazing. #Worship

Sleep Token, for me does not have one skip song. Like Eric said sometimes I am in different moods but I listen to them all. And that hold for their entire discography and I don’t think I have ever felt that way. Sleep Token are special. Euclid is a beautiful song to end the trilogy! I first fell in love with sleep token on the tmbte record but now find myself constantly going back to sundowning and this place will be your tomb. They are all so good but for some reason their first two keep pulling me. It’s very very strange. Tmbte is so powerful but the other ones are more mysteriousperhaps

The Night Does Not Belong To God i believe is about Sundowners syndrome which is a form of dementia that presents itself at night. When you listen to the lyrics it makes total sense. This album is called Sundowning too...

For starters that ending has me rolling!!! Secondly - Euclid is amazing. The entire TMBTE album is absolute perfection! It doesn't matter what mood I'm in if one of those songs hits my shuffle I can't skip it. They're all 10/10 for me.

the context and mental space listening to this song provides before Euclid is so beautiful. I think the Take Me Back To Eden album is a complete whole, but this is such a wonderful prequel that not enough people consider. I'm glad Rykerroad gave it the chance it deserved before hearing Euclid. Euclid is my favorite track off the whole album, it's great to see it so well respected.

The Night Does Not Belong to God was the FIRST Sleep Token song I ever heard, and I've always maintained that it was a perfect entry point for me for this band. To hear that song as Sundowning was about to start launching one single every two weeks until the whole album was out was an experience with an album that I've not yet had again. I can't wait to watch your reaction to Euclid now. It will all make sense I promise.

Please tell me we get Euclid right after this one (tomorrow), I can't wait to see your faces light up when you realize how this ties together. There are so many call backs in this album, this is gonna be a ride when you get into more!

Also the their second EP "Two" the 3 songs are named after biblical cities. Nazareth, Calcutta, Jericho. So the album "Take me back to eden" is the longing to go back to the beginning to a time before he knew this struggle and heartbreak that we see in sundowning and tomb. He wants to go back to a place of innocence and ignorance to this pain.

I got to see them live last night at Blue Ridge Rock Fest! Phenomenal fucking show, amazing atmosphere.

As far as other genres/sounds within Sleep Token, The Sundowning and TPWBYT are full of twists and turns, as well as MANY lyrical callbacks and connections. Excited for you to explore their older stuff. And please don't leave out Jaws or their EP's One and Two!!

I know this is months old but the way i see the three albums is the first album is meeting Sleep, falling in love and lust, the fuzzy wistful kind of love. The second album is when reality hit, that the relationship is one-sided. The depression, and need to be loved back so desper that you'd do anything. When the third album comes around that need to be loved is still there, but there is also a realization that you may have to move on and leave that part of you behind. "Putting down the roses and picking up the sword" vessel still tries for the relationship, begs for love, but finally breaks and takes back some of his power and tries to move on. At least that's how i read it. And this being the first song on the first album seems so innocent and loving that it breaks your heart to listen to it again after the later two albums ans knowing what is in store for vessel.

I was lucky to stumble on these guys early and Sundowning is in my personal top 5 favorite albums ever. The Offering, Dark Signs, Higher, and Gods are all songs you'll love that are much closer to the pocket they perfected in TMBTE. Personal favorite song off the album is Levitate

TMBTE is definitely extra hype because they knew this was the culmination of a story but I think Sundowning and This Place Will Become Your Tomb are amazing as well. It’s like acts in a play or movie. The early and middle have a lot of exposition and world building that may not be as flashy and exciting as the big climax and ending, but they give so much more weight and context to the end

Lore with Sleep Token nerd: I believe this song to be about (Sleep/Godmother) with this being the first track of the first album it embarks on the official journey of Vessel becoming "The Vessel" of Sleep. Sleep is known to be very intimate and harsh with there vessels so with this "Vessel" is getting to be fully embraced by Sleep and is now be enchanted by them.

Well... this was a different vibe and I loved it!! I could listen to this on repeat, like 4 times in a row!!

Before Euclid it’s also worth it to know that their first EP has a song on it called When the Bough Breaks

I know yall love the band and the lore so here's a little I saw online that I think is accurate and makes the albums themes, styles, and lyrics hit that much harder. It fits what I believe to be the lore. So they had two EP's before the albums, named "One" and "Two", three songs each. Each song in order are in the theme of falling asleep, being asleep, and waking up. The albums seem to follow the same. Sundowning - Falling Asleep This Place Will Become Your Tomb - Being Asleep Take Me Back To Eden - Waking Up When you listen to the albums with that in mind, it just adds another layer. If you haven't heard the albums some spoilery things below, but again its my personal belief of the lore. I know no one asked for this but I have been into this band for a couple years and I have been very much enjoying the brothers going through this all, cannot wait for you all to hear the rest. I could go on for longer but here's a portion of what I believe leaving out a lot of the first two albums. Sundowning has themes of begging, and longing for the Goddess to visit Vessel again, give him love. TPWBYT, the music throughout is more floaty, swimming through, dreaming. The themes of being with the Goddess, her perfection, maybe Vessel losing himself to the Goddesss but not hating it. Then Take Me Back To Eden, its got angst and anger. The love is there but Vessel is upset realizing he soon will wake up. What do you do when you're mad, you lash out. There is grief for the loss, wondering why his love with all her power won't just keep him asleep. If you loved me you wouldn't let me go. In Aqua Regia, Vessel will do anything to stay, he'll fight, done throwing love and begging, put down the rose and pick up the sword, turn the walls to gold, anything for her. But yet the night will end and he will lose his Goddess until he falls back asleep. The title track is him finally being awake, slogging through life waiting to see the Goddess again. The screaming at the end is Vessel yearning to go back to sleep, his Eden. Title track is also the end of the album, we fucking woke up. Now Euclid, this one is the end of the trilogy. It is a love song of the person behind the mask to everyone who took the journey. But wait, the journey is over. We went to sleep, we were asleep, and now we woke up. Where do we go from here? What's the next chapter hold? I am very excited to find out, but for now we WORSHIP!

Like others have said, the albums are a trilogy. Album 1 is Vessel and the deity getting together. Album 2 is the toxicity of the relationship. Album 3 is Vessel leaving/breaking up with the deity. Btw: it is speculated that some of the songs are in the deity’s perspective. From album 3 specifically: Chokehold = Vessel, Summoning = Both, Granite = Vessel, Aqua Regia= Vessel, Vore = Both, Ascensionism = Vessel, Are You Really Okay = Vessel to himself/Deity to Vessel/Outsider to Vessel, Apparition = Vessel, DYWTYLM = Vessel, TMBTE = Vessel breaking up with the Deity, Euclid = I personally believe that this song is the Deity begging Vessel to come back

I'm one of the people who first got into Sleep Token when The Summoning came out and I WISH I would've heard them years ago, I've become absolutely enamored with their music. During the wait for the TMBTE drop, I listened to their older stuff as I became more familiar with them and TNDNBTG became one of my favorite songs...ever. Not my favorite Sleep Token song (that goes to Euclid funnily enough), but one of my favorite songs just in general. It's ethereal and mysterious and draws you in with that sort of cycling background sound, hits you hard with the middle, and fades out in a beautiful repetition. It's such an experience and I cannot wait for you guys to listen to Euclid and catch all of the little references. It's the perfect ending to the trilogy and calls back to the first song of their first full album, making it come full circle. I adore it.
