It's a Great Feeling (1949) #WarnerArchive #WarnerBros #ItsaGreatFeeling
When studio executives decide to make a movie starring Dennis Morgan and Jack Carson, there's only one problem: none of the directors at the studio will work with Jack, a well-known ham. The solution? Let Jack direct the film himself. But Jack's troubles don't end there. It seems that because of his reputation as a womanizer, none of the actresses at the studio will work with him either. Enter Judy Adams (Doris Day), a naive waitress at the studio commissary who hopes to break into the movies.
Directed By David Butler
Starring Doris Day, Dennis Morgan, Jack Carson

He talked specifically about this in his memoir. He said, specifically (if I remember right), "The biggest factor in aging isn't wrinkles or greying hair. It's weight. Yes, weight, something people of all ages deal with. But if you're past 50 extra weight really exaggerates the effects of aging. So long as you stay in shape a healthy man will age gracefully." I agree with this. I think he doesn't look that much older because even though he had some extra weight on him it wasn't much.

Back in the 1950s and any period earlier, men used to wear their trousers to the waist line, which is the proper way to wear most trousers. But it died out in the later 1960s. At 0:56 you can see the other actor also wearing his trousers the same way. This picture shows it better: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e0/Douglas_MacArthur_signs_formal_surrender.jpg

Matthew Bulger, I do not recall any other films in which Ronald Reagan does a cameo unless it may have been a short film during WW2 for morale. He may have played a cameo of himself in a television program.
