When I used to farm we bought a 510MF new then my dad in 1980decided it was time for a new combine he had a choice a750MF or a 550MF he choose the 550worst mistake he ever made.we had nothing but trouble with the darn thing.the separator clutch always was out.every year we put in at least one.everything was cramped into it seemed everything was harder to work on compared to the 510.be careful putting that chopper back on they are very heavy

Looks a good machine mate. Perkins it will run forever lol.😂 nope your right battery they make now are rubbish. 3 year's is about the limmter of them. That's sounds like it was a right bummer mate. When the tyre came off. I would be scared to drop the back end of her to look heavy. That's it mate just give her a slight tug with the H makes a good anchor. Got them out give them a good clean and she will be ready for her season👍

The stone trap option adds about 10 inches to the feeder housing. I had a 18 foot offset head made for montana laws which said the header couldn't be longer than the stairs,so it was offset to the right side.these are identical to later 510 specials.

That is a very strange regulation. I wonder why they did that?

Right color, right flavor 😁. We’re getting the 750 ready for wheat and oats. Do you have poly skid pad on the floater plates? First thing I do is donate the straw chopper to the iron pile😉. They just tear up the back end. I use a straw spreader .

Farmall fenatic do you have or have you used the spring loaded lifters? We have four 354 Perkins engines, Battery's use to last a long time, but now there recycled they don't last, Go dead faster & freeze in 3 years. Recycled metal will rust a lot faster than new steel.

And you can pick 1 acre per hour. Then I also got a 1949 or so john deere. I hate john deere. They suck. But all in all it does work good. Thanks for listen. From. Taylor.

@tyfrank34272 жыл бұрын
@@whathobogrohknows My dad has a 914 combine. They are a pull type version of the 915. They are too much combine for the 756 to pull. He normally pulled his with a 1066. 914s generally only have a pickup header meaning you have to swath first. When Dad first bought his 914 he pulled it with an 1100 MF with the 354 Perkins. Supposed to be a 94 HP tractor. Every clod or tough spot would cause the old Perkins to die. So then he bought the 1066 and of course no problem. But then at one point during harvest, the PTO clutches went out of 1066. Only other tractor dad had at that time with a 1000 RPM PTO was an 806. 94 HP right? Hooked the 914 to the 806, and every clod or tough spot, the 806 didn't die but roasted the drive belts on the combine and just keep going. Now that's real red power!
