As times change and they are changing fast, we are finding it necessary to monitor our property 24/7. We picked up these wireless solar cameras to help us ensure all is well on the homestead. Hi Jill, Rochelle and I have been watching the weather channel and it looks like the hurricane is going to hit the Corpus area sending us bands of much needed rain. Yawl should get some as well. Glad you are installing cameras. Buckshot works as well lol. We have cameras as well and my phone will alarm if someone is on our property. Love the solar option as well. God bless

Jill we have reolink cams on our property. Buy replacements. They don’t handle rain as well as we would. My husband has had to replace three. Customer service is awesome and they had to replace several due to a malfunction and we had zero issues with them. They are awesome as long as Wi-Fi is working. Our have lights, cameras, and we can actually speak thru them.

We sure are praying that Beryl sends us a soaker here in the Hill Country. We put in 20 raised beds this Spring. Our garden went in late this year. Tomatoes aren't setting. And the other plants are struggling in this heat. I've started watering at night. Our pyrenees Beau and a butt head goat provide security in our open pastures. During the last bailout the illegals jumped the fence across from us rather deal with our dog and goat. Beau doesn't mess around. We have added more solar lights. We have Simply Safe alarm system too. Thanks Jill y'all be safe. Remember y'all to Pray, Plan, Prep

The dignity of people here in Kansas they pull those trailers around and anything they see they load up basketball goals and steal parts off old trucks like it is there’s . A pickup truck pulling a trailer at night is not farming there plotting .They will knock on your door to test you then come back . Riding mowers and equipment they have buyers in other states are areas that buy or store stolen equipment.

Jill, I watched a gardener mix yeast with sugar, I tbls of yeast and two tbls of sugar in room temp water, let sit over night, mix with five gallons of room temp water and give each plant one cup per week. Supposedly helps with fungi growth and helps the plant with drought conditions and they grow very well. I’m giving it a try cuz we here is Texas need all the help and tips we can get.

Sugar Definitely attracts all kind of ants 🐜. Shouldn’t be a good choice like all sorts of goofy idea shown in social media!! Never saw someone came with real results.

@@zackcam26 the sugar is to activate the yeast and it’s watered into the soil so it shouldn’t be a problem with ants and if it is just use ant killer. I saw the results from this Gardner and any fungi in the soil is beneficial.

Hey Jill Thanks you for this video We been thinking about the same thing We planning on putting up security cameras also We live in the country also and we never know what or who coming up the country roads .. If you would like Blue Iris, and AI with alerts to your cell phone, my daughters and I are experts. Reolink and other cameras can be programmed to work with Blue Iris. My 12 and 15 yr daughters built an AI computer, and programmed alerts etc for 64 cameras at a couple of RV Parks. Let us know if anyone needs any help. It's on our youtube page somewhere. Kids are General Class Amature radio Operators and have done HVAC, and Electric. Mike Holt just sent them his fundamentals class, which will be going into their studies, as soon as their welding 50 lbs of 7018 brick is finished. All on our little channel. Cameras are smart, AI can help big time. We are in Texas as well, up near Cedar Creek.

I love those cameras. We have 3 motion alarms on our ( very long) dirt driveway. They go off constantly mostly due to deer. I am going to check these out, but I am concerned b/c our WiFi is spotty . I am amazed at how clear the picture is! Cameras, motion detectors, motion lights & sirens are all necessary now days!

Purchased the camera. What a nightmare. The go pt ultra does not detect movement beyond 10 inches. I stood directly in front dancing and it could not detect me. We rebooted, changed settings and even deleted everything and started from scratch. Still doesn’t work. Their support is a nightmare. Chat only. No phone to talk to a live person. we’ve been dealing with them for over a week. Now in warranty refund phase. That’s an even worse nightmare. We got the camera in hopes of catching whoever is stealing our beehives. This camera provides no security and zero peace of mind. Hopefully we will eventually get a refund.

@@ntxg no reflection on you Jilly. Not at all. I’ve been in the security and investigations business for decades and have used untold varieties of security and surveillance cameras. But my experience with Reolink has been less than unsatisfactory. I got an email last night offering me $8 refund on a $200 camera system less than 30 days old. Bad sensor in the camera possibly. Idk. But their response to critical issues has cost me money in lost time and theft. Love ❤️ your content and you and your hubby are always in our prayers.

Happy 4th Jill! I would love to put cameras up. We do have a driveway sensor, it works most of the time. And I have no trespassing signs up as well. It is definitely hot. I managed to get a shade cloth up over my container garden area. Although, the grasshoppers are making it hard to get anything now. Pretty much everything has slowed down, but I trimmed some of my plants up and still watering them. Going to try and get them through the summer. My green beans are done and didn't get much off of them this year.

If we don't turn this election around and fix this country people will get so desperate, unfortunately farms with food growing will be the target. Not jewelry stores. Also homes with backyard gardens are targets. So sad. Food prices are crazy and packing of food has gotten smaller but the price is higher.

The worst part is a lot of the folk up here in the northeast, particularly the city folk, don't actually give a damn about the farmers or where any of their food and whatnot comes from. They keep pushing for this kind of destruction, while all the land in what is left of our rural zones gets bought out and auctioned off to the Chinese who give zero in return while using up the property. They did that to the land across from my home, mainland chinese bought it and run that patch, but they don't live in the US or have US citizenship. The food will get more expensive, the land won't be given to US citizens and the farmers will run out of resources and money all while things dwindle out to nothing like in the USSR.

Not much in the fireworks around here.. they started last night, around bedtime. That was shut down QUICKLY..A nice crash and boomer showed up. It didn't last long at all, but it was enough to shut them down for the night. Higher chances tonight! I'm glad, we don't get a 4 day weekend!

I have purchased 7 reolink cameras. 5 have failed in less than a year. Reolink is cheap garbage. Stay away from them.

@ntxg be very careful with the micro USB ports the solar panels plug into. I'm thinking about using silicone to permanently attach the cord to the solar panel. That was 1 failure as the camera quit taking a charge and when i can get it to turn on it just flashes orange and green and doesnt charge. They have all gotten really loose and I have to go fiddle with them after it gets windy to get them charging again. They probably should have used usb-c or something better than micro usb. It is a known flaw with all micro-usb. Just cheap out-dated parts. If I had it to do all over again I would definitely buy a higher quality system with all power over ethernet wired cameras. My 1 reolink camera that is power over ethernet has worked great so far. It's the ones that use solar panels and a micro-usb connection that I'm unhappy with.
