Getting Started with Polymer Clay: Bulls Eye Cane

6 жыл бұрынIn this polymer clay tutorial I'll be showing you how to make a basic Bulls Eye Cane. The Bulls Eye is one of the most basic polymer clay canes and can be used to create other more complex canes just by altering the shape or adding more of them.
It's easy to make, but very important to learn as a foundation to other polymer clay techniques.

I'm a beginner and I started to make a Kaleidoscope Cane based on a variety of simple Canes like your tutorial "How to Make a Kaleidoscope Cane," but I've run into a problem with the Bull's Eye Cane, which is the start of your Complex Bulls Eye Petal Cane Tutorial. My problem is as I am new at working with Polymer Clay, I don't know how thick to make the sheet around the center of the Bull's Eye Cane, and you don't say how thick it needs to be to make the Complex Bulls Eye Petal Cane. So, can you tell me how thick the outside sheet on the Bull's Eye Cane needs to be? That s to say what setting on the Pasta Machine should be used to make the outside layer on the Bull's Eye Cane, so I can make into the Complex Bulls Eye Petal Cane? I hope that you will answer my question as soon as possible, so that I can make my first Kaleidoscope Cane based on a variety of simple Canes. My ratio for the bulls eye cane is a 4mm thick sheet around the outside of a log with a 10mm diameter. You don't have to be to precise about this, but that's generally what I go for. I'm not sure which setting on your pasta machine this would be for you, but for me it's my thickest setting, which is a number 7.
