[159] We are back playing through some short maps including a maze, possibly the longest map we've done and we have to start with zero creep and fill an entire map!

What is the difference between a maze and a labyrinth ?

@@lechatrelou6393 A labyrinth has no forks, you can't get lost. It is just a long winding path, mostly for decorative purposes. A maze is the place you get lost.

If I had a nickel for every time a maze turned out to be a labyrinth, I'd have two nickels. I know that's not a lot, but you've gotta admit it's weird that it happened twice.

What I love most about air sacs is that they TANK the economy. Even if they're just getting shot down by airships, there's a noticable spike that helps the rest get through. And if they do land, even if they don't do any permanent damage, that's just more pressure on the Econ. Thier ability to snipe is definitely useful, but for me they're good even when getting wrecked.

Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1245 Sweet, always fun to have the Mini Map episodes :D OOO, always a fan of Maze Maps :D Damn, that really was a small piece of Creep, really shows you can't leave any stone unturned 8:10 I wonder who that was Damn, now that is a long map, almost as long as the Airsacks. Talking of which, I do agree that one of the joys of the world are the Airsack Arts, personally I find their Poetry to be my favourite, but Airsack Ballet is certainly up there

Is the maze just an automap? I like automaps, just for a change of pace. Some would say circles are checkpoint spots.

if they ever make a creeper world 5, it should be a series of entire planetary maps interconnected on a sphere. a literal creeper planet where the humans have to start from the smallest point of non creepered land possible and spread around the global map. the obverse is a series of human planets where you start out as a single spore/egg and infect an entire planet over time through a series of chapters getting more difficult as the chapters progress. free sandbox is just a procedurally generated map wrapped around a ball and the goal is to either clear the creep for the humans, or to play as the creep to take territory with such mechanics as a summonable creep Tsunami if the right conditions are met. or a human anticreep atomic bomb that clears out a massive creep area of a map.

I never did like any of these two maze maps (the first map in this video as there's two versions even though they don't look that much different) because there's pointless snipers and anti-air turrets all around the map when there's nothing for them to even shoot at, cannons would have been a better choice for where these turrets are since it's just creep on the map, as for the main base there should be some sprayers there but their inclusion also feels rather pointless because they aren't even turned on to make you feel somewhat pressured into taking a bunch of ground as the creep so by the time you reach them your creep would already be high enough to practically overwhelm them without any real effort.

I recommend LPAC The Beginning map for your next one, also i can't believe i never knew we could drag the mouse over the creeper to move it along and spawn more, is that only possible with special settings in certain maps like this one? Also what does the L stand for at the start? I know the rest stands for Play As Creeper though.

The L in LPAC stands for Light I believe. It generally designates the PAC maps with the "Get boosts to use on your emitters and other production, as well as eggs/rocks, on a timed basis" mechanic. I think it's 'light' because it's generally impossible to 'lose' those maps, as if you get stuck and can't advance you can just afk and build up enough boosts/eggs/rocks to just brute-force your way past whatever stymied you, and the AI is generally incapable of retaking all the map including your initial emitter not matter what you do, even if you haven't made it into an unstoppable monster of creep production.
