Maybe next time, you could build a big red "X" in the ground with a sign that has people dig down to it with a chest below it so you have a spot to drop the anvil and the chest would break the anvil at the same time. idk

There's actually a bug where if you put an anvil in a soul sand elevator, it still counts to the 'blocks fallen', meaning you can drop an anvil 2 blocks and it can kill someone. (note: they despawn after 30 seconds)

Actually, we can make this higher (I think, I have yet to test it) Because falling anvil is an entity, like sand and gravel and concrete powder, We can use a setup that launches the anvil to the 257th y coordinate and then drop it. Edit: the idiocy of the people in the replies is insane

The reason ur stuff disappeared when you looked away for a millisecond was cause when you saw it, the timer passed the 5 minute threshold, but items can’t disappear when in view, so when you glanced away, it was out of view of all players so it despawned

Hey Rek, Parrot just broke this record a few weeks ago, you wanna get the record back? If you want to, then I have a idea for you. You just make a anvil launcher at the new build limit, and because anvils become entities when they are being launched, so you can technically drop an anvil higher than the build limit. The anvil design I recommend you to use is the same one you made to break Civ's helmet.

"all of my iron for anvils" On every SMP I play. EVERY ONE. I make a house that doubles as an iron farm. By that I mean I build an iron farm, put my bed and facilities on the leaves, and pile more leaves on top. Iron in masses, and I can build golem traps ezpz
