Your chairs look fabulous. Personally I don't think any of your DIY'S are worthless. They are very inspiring and "regular" people are motivated to do things, to do something, anything out side the box. Thank you for sharing and motivating us 🙏. Have a great day 😊

Oh Sophia, please give yourself some room for grace. You have been non stop with projects and filming, plus working full time in a stressful job, as well as being a Wife, Mother, daughter, and and selling on Etsy and FB marketplace ECT. We don't want you to get sick. Please take care of Sophia. Stress kills!

When stapling your chairs or even a canvas, ALWAYS start your staples in the center. Never to one side. You have a higher probability of getting your material crooked. Love your videos

I love how the chairs turned out. I say use the chairs without covers, enjoy them, then reupholster when they look bad. I'd be afraid the red would fade on the gold fabric....

Use your chairs as you reupholstered them and spray them with a stain protector don’t cover them in that bold red. Who more important than your family to seat in luxury don’t wait for company to use your lovely chair fabric. You deserve the best.

Beautiful, Sophia! Could you just wrap the plastic around the cushion and tuck it under the wood as well? Perhaps a slightly thinner plastic would work. Hope your week gets better. ❤

I'm glad you are getting a new stapler as you work so hard already. You need the most efficient tools you can afford to make life a bit easier. The new covers are beautiful. Plastic covers are a necessity for a family's use. I used plastic covers that I put on just the way I did the fabric. They were fine. They made sliding on and off the seat easier when someone wore jeans, etc. You did a great job.

Have had cats most of my life and never had furniture damaged by them. Sometimes, just 1 cat, for many years 3-5 cats at once. The only things damaged by them were a couple of dog beds and a couple of cushioned kitchen mats. Always had tall scratching posts or kitty towers. They did shred the sisal rope on one of those.

Sophia, the chairs look fabulous with that striped fabric. Glad you bought a new stapler. It should have made doing the other chairs so much less frustrating. Yes, get the clear plastic from Jo-ann's. It will be great when you finish. Cheers

Hi Sophia, A few years ago my husband and I recovered our dining room chairs. I used the old seat covers as my pattern. We used what looks like leather to recover the seats and I love how it feels and looks. So easy to clean, too. The plastic that you ordered can be found at Walmart on rolls so you can buy just what you need. You should treat yourself to an electric stapler. They are so much easier to use than the manual ones.

Sorry it has been a rough week! I appreciate your diys because you show the missteps and how to right them. That is very encouraging to those of us who have to push themselves to even attempt anything they deem remotely "handy". By the way, thanks for mentioning about centering a stripe in the center of the chair--a tiny tip that goes so far into making a much better finished product .

Love the chairs! The only potential problem I could see is that the red vinyl dye could rub off on the silk. If you test it and it doesn’t then great! I love both colors in your dining room!

I would use a smaller bath towel in a similar color when to protect some chairs I had from daily wear and tear. I could just throw them in the washer when needed and put them back over them to protect my chairs from my boys. I would be concerned that the red slipcovers might fade on your new lighter upholstery. I enjoy your DIY videos and am inspired to try new things.

You did a really fantastic job! Be sure to check reviews on the red chair covers and make sure they don't bleed. There could be colour transfer just from normal sitting and spills could be extra trouble. You would think companies would use fabric that doesn't have this problem but you never know. The round chairs look so difficult... don't hesitate to outsource that job if it takes a stressor off your plate!

I love this real DIY where you have to solve problems even 😅f you have to use a method you don’t want. This is how it goes. I think anyone who expects a perfect video where everything is sunshine and roses is delusional. The stories are coming out where tv shows have slapped temporary solutions on projects. As regular citizens, we just don’t want to do that to our homes. Your videos are inspiration and show how sometimes a project takes one or more detours. This is real life and citizens need to keep their expectations realistic. I LOVED THIS VIDEO.

I love the fabric you chose, Sophia! I think stripes just look so good and I recovered my dining room chairs several years ago in a striped fabric as well. I used an indoor/outdoor fabric that looks and feels like nice upholstery fabric. I would highly recommend the same to anyone, especially if your chairs are frequently used. No need for plastic covers. The indoor/outdoor fabric nowadays is so much nicer than it was at its inception. I'm anxious to see how you will reupholster the accent chairs' arm and back pads. I have a similar issue with our sunroom sofa and love seat. Thanks for sharing! XXOO ❤️

The chairs look really posh, well done! I have had the same experience with staplers, i suspect they are all a bit rubbish. I reverted to using tacks for my project because of the shortcomings of the stapler. You could make some thin quilted seat pads to tie on to the uprights at the back, to protect the new seat covers.
