I need more suggestions of what to listen to! Thank you to my Patrons for helping me pick these first few tracks!! Btw, my voice sounds a bit off because I was still recovering from a cold, so excuse that.

You should react to the whole “4:44” album. One of the most important albums of this generation.

It's funny that you say that the Heart of the City production "feels very New York to me" since it was literally the first beat Kanye made after moving to New York.

It's crazy how Jay z is actually underrated in terms of lyrics, he's one of the best, prolific writers of this century, if you dig in his music you'll still find yourself catching bars and new meanings years later.

'Reasonable Doubt' is, by far, Jay's most grounded and raw album. Since you've heard a bunch of the hits and have waded, ankle-deep, into the waters of each era of his musical progression, I think you would enjoy the first album that launched his career and skyrocketed him into becoming both a musical and cultural phenomenon around the world. Cheers, EJ

I would say Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, and The Black Album are the essential albums to listen to by Jay Z. The Volume series albums he has aren't as good as those 3 that I mentioned but have some of his best songs spread throughout them. American Gangster and 4:44 are probably his best albums since coming out of retirement in 2006.

Jay-z's Magna Carta is an album that made me like jay-z a lot. He brings that hip-hop/rap root but with a post modern sound. I don't know, it sounds like a fresh jay-z to me. Love all he has done so far, but Magna Carta was easy to digest before diving into his other albums.

If you’re going to get into albums, start with Reasonable Doubt. It’s key to understanding the philosophies that inform his whole career in addition to just being a great record.

I think youll really like "22 Two's", I love that one. "Where I'm From" is a must listen to better understand Jay. "Coming of Age" is great & has a sequel, since I know you dig the cinematic element to music. "Friend or Foe," also great & cinematic with a sequel. Enjoy & be cool.

Please checkout out WHAT MORE CAN I SAY by Jay'z . Definitely a fan of his music. If we're speaking about reacting to an entire album I would say Blueprint. Of course you can't go wrong with his debut album Reasonable Doubt and The Black Album are considered all classics. But ibe album that rarely reacted to on KZfaq but is one of his best also is American Gangsta..

I do read the lyrics the whole time on my phone while listening. 😊 I usually wait to comment on lyrics more so at the end of the video when wrapping up, but I’ll admit for this video, or “intro” videos I may not go as in depth as I may for album reactions since it’s just meant to be my initial takeaways. Thanks for watching!
