A note to anyone wanting to get a G43, modern ammo is way more gassed then what the germans fielded during the war and the G43's gas system was designed to compensate for fouling and icy conditions. Like I posted earlier, change the recoil springs every 500-600 rds and it'll keep running without any over-pressure issues. Unless it's been modified to lower the gas pressure, there are two ways to do it that I'm aware of, putting in new springs is a must. If I just bought one and wasn't real familar with it. The first thing I would do is put new springs in it. They are easy and cheap to get from Wollf Gun Springs. I've been shooting G43's for 20 years and Just passing on what I've learned. Good luck with it! all they do is go up in price, even mismatched shooters.
