Live a Live was a RPG made by Square for the Super Nintendo, back during a time where they didn't suck, and back during a time where they actually had a balls to do some experimentation with their games, instead of a never-ending wave of Final Fants-er...Final Rehash Games.
Live A Live was a multi-time period epic which showed that even the most hardened of heroes can go bad if enough hatred exists...and it was awesome.
Megalomaina was the game's Boss Theme, and this arranged version was by Grandioso. It was the only good remix I found that also kept true to the original for the most part, so I extended it.

A game where you get to play as Clint Eastwood, Jurassic Tarzan, Akira, Fat Bruce Lee/Martial art anime protag/Chun Lee, A companion cube, Ryu Hasabuta, All-Might and a Disney prince. Comes with gripping story and good music.

Replace All Might with Domon Kasshu considering he and Masaru look-alike. And picking Tomokazu Seki for his japanese VA was a absolute power move for the HD-2D remake.

The FF games are pretty unique gameplay wise, though the plots don't stray too far from your typical manga. The brilliance of Live A Live is that you play several different stories in terms of tone, genre, and gameplay, yet in a way that all comes together to make one great game.

+Cloudmonkey I think the reason, is because most games get some kind of attention because they separate themselves from the norm. On the other hand; Live a livE is competing against some of the greatest RPGs ever made, such as Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger to make itself known. And if you sit down and think about it; Live a livE and Chrono Trigger are very similar, but Chrono Trigger was a more realized game. However, Live a livE's innovative battle system is one of the most unique RPG elements I've ever had the pleasure of playing, and I really wish this gem had not been so ignored. It is one of the finer examples of how to bend the RPG genre around and keep something familiar, yet also interesting and different.

The Mecha chapter was my favorite and the one I spent the most time on! Probably, because I spent hours listening to the music in that chapter! "Wait for Truth" is such an hypnotizing song!

Megalomania was going to be used in Toby Fox's Earthbound Halloween Hack, but he couldn't get it to work properly so he arranged his own song instead, known as Megalovania. Deltarune has a song called "Don't Forget" in it, which is a line that Oersted says before he disappears in the true ending. References are cool!

LunarRay it did, very sneakily, unlike every other fight in that Scenario, Run is Lit Up in the Duel with Mad Dog, and unless you just spam X, you have to open that menu

I don't know how the interface looks in the SNES version, but the Flee option isn't grayed out when you fight him the second time in the remake, which means you can spare him.

@@Oriana_Lockheart I'm guessing it's the disciple from the Inheritance (Successor/Imperial China in the remake) chapter that eats a lot, known as Hong in the remake. You've got the female bandit (Lei) in most of the art and the guy that stole the Master/Shifu's money (Yun) in the second-to-last art, but the third disciple doesn't show up anywhere

I liked every chapter except for the Caveman and Ninja tales. I dunno, I just didn't seem to appreciate the slapstick in the former, and the latter seemed more like a puzzle than anything. [That said... Oboromaru gets quite powerful if trained well.]

I must say, that this is perphaps one of the best stories on an RPG i have seen in a long time, each individual has an unique mission and gameplay, yet they all can be fit togheter for the final event, with NO-PROBLEM whatsoever. And the music is AWESOME, my personal favorite theme is Psycho Killing of the Mecha chapter. And my favorites chapter in order are: 9-Future 8-Caveman 7-Knight 6-Wrestler 5-Ninja 4-Kung-Fu 3-Western 2-Mecha 1-Final Chapter (Both Good and Evil side)

Square may be stingy, but if you're musically talented you may be able to pull a Toby Fox and write a song that carries the same feel to this song while still being completely original. ... The Earthbound Halloween Hack version of Megalovania has a lot more in common with this song than later versions.

You are such...a tiny man. Your determination is admirable, if misplaced. I am not impressed though. The competition was not exactly stellar. I gave them...quick deaths. First was that amatuer, Namcat...and the Lucha wimp...I twisted Tula's joints in ways nature never intended! Then Max, and that fatass, Iaukea...and the geezer, whatever his name was. Most of you here are probably sick of anything undertale-related, but I hear a bassline very similar to one of the disbelief tracks, does anyone else? Also, for those of you comparing Undertale to this game, There really isn't a comparison.. As far goes the artwork, both games are pixelated. I won't even try comparing their mechanics, as they're obviously different. How good the story is, would be up for debate. The music is also opinionated, and most favoritism seems to spawn from nostalgia.

Megalomania was never going to replace Megalovania in Undertale. You are thinking of the Halloween Hack, where Toby was considering porting this song, then opted to make an original song instead.
