It they released this song with this new concept just to gain more international fans, well... I'm sorry to say but IT FREAKIN WORKED. I mean COME ON. Look at this rhytmn, the bass, the outfits... I absolutely loved it. I'm not a great fan of GFriend, their other succesful songs like Me Gustas Tu, Glass Bead and Navillera sounded terrible to me. The only song I really liked was Rough, and I hated it at first, I just started liking after some time. But I loved Fingertips since the first time I heard! Even the non-sense MV looked beautiful to me (lol Im sorry, I really can't understand the MV). And the funny thing is that Fingertips still sounds exactly like GFriend. Of course it's different from the cutesy-innocent thing they've been releasing, but Fingertips still contains that familiar instrumental present on their past hits. Although I saw people saying that they are losing Korean fans, for me, Fingertips is an awesome song that points their maturity: a different concept, but it is still what we should expect from Gfriend. The thing with GFriend's Girl crush concept is that they aren't basic like other groups (Don't get me wrong, I like these groups like GIDDLE and BLACKPINK) but they can't be compared to the complexity of the sound of GFriend, from the voices to all the instrumental and the choreography. Girl crush usually have a basic beat in loop the repeats all the song, but if you hear carefully to GFriend's instruments, there is more than just a simple beat and that's is over the average girl crush concept, this is beyond amazing, is real art and talent. Sadly, Koreans are too used to the basic sounds of the others girl crush concepts that this is something they aren't familiarized with, so they disliked it.
