I really do not understand how people could hate Umji for her Visual i mean she was literally a Baby when they debuted Plus they did not get proper Outfits and Make up too look like other GG when they did debut. And about Sowon? She was always pushed in the back despite her hard Work & natural Beauty that actually still did not get the attention that it deserves... She is the Reason i got into Gfriend..I am a Girl and i was shocked by her Visual. I began stanning them at Navillera Era and I thought that she must be really famous for her Beauty among Idols but NO she was not! She would be waaaayyy more popular for her Beauty if Source Music did not push her in the Back when they had their Golden Eras (Me gustas Tu, Rough, Navillera) She was known as a untalanted Visual thats always in the Back but she never could Show what she learned after Training for 10 Years... It took me a couple views to understand what this song was about as I don't speak Korean. Now I get it. These were the two most criticized members of Gfriend from the beginning. People said Umji wasn't pretty enough. She's a beautiful young woman, which should be pretty obvious. People said Sowon wasn't talented enough. She continues to prove that's nonsense.

Umji's features has great potential for the international stage, that's probably why they said that about Umji, as most korean or half of the population probably only want to see their standards of beauty, I'd even dare say that if Umji would be in a drama she'd probably look like she fit in the screen perfectly. That was the first and had always been my impression of Umji.

소원과 엄지만의 예쁘고 달콤한 목소리를 Better Me에서 많이 들을 수 있어서 좋음. 춤도 예쁘고 곡도 몽환적 느낌으로 귀에 잘 감기고 뭐하나 빠지는 게 없음. 개인적으론 모델 소원의 아름다운 모습과 예쁜 목소리를 가장 잘 표현한 곡과 안무라고 봄. 그동안 걸그룹 탑 메댄과 매보가 있는 팀에서 상대적으로 소원만의 매력이 덜 평가 받은 느낌이었는데 Better Me를 통해 그녀만의 매력을 볼 수 있어 좋았음. 비하인드 영상 보면 소원이 Better Me 무대 오르기 전에 엄청 신나 하는 게 보임. The units are split into their positions Yuju + Eunha = Main and Lead Vocal SinB + Yerin = Main and Lead Dancer Sowon + Umji = Main and Lead Rapper While rap is not really prominent in GFriend (as their music style not require a lot of it), they are still holding that position and this latin pop style song with some rap part highlight their capability. At early debut time they were considered as the weakest vocal on the group but now Umji always get the technically difficult/high part of the song (with Yuju and Eunha) and Sowon is develop from someone who is not confident with vocal ability to be able reach D5 in Labyrinth. Really proud of GFriend!

this song is perfect for Umji and Sowon to sing because this song is about self-love and Umji has been called ugly and she has to deal with that but she loves herself no matter what they say about her and Sowon is known as one of the top 3 beauties in Korea so she has to keep up to a standard in which people will judge her for not keeping her appearance perfect. But this song show that they don't care what the haters have to say because they love themselves and that is all that matters.

Even their rap is melodic with a flow. Sowon's voice really suits this kind of genre. Hope she sings this kind of songs more. Props to SoMu/BH giving the member's the chance to experiment/improve on their careers. Not all kpop idols have that kind of freedom.
