LOL! Y'all need kids!!! I had several of these for Christmas and Thanksgiving and Halloween when my kids were young, on timers so they were upright and lit when we arrived home. They loved them!!

Somehow I missed this video. I love the look on your face when you say " We can't set them out outside. But we can set them up inside." The same look you would get when your parents were having an Adult Dinner night and basically told you to play hockey indoors just to shut you and your friends up.

I have the Santa outside. I got mine on sale too; $29, instead of $49. I would love the matching snowman and tree, but they don't make this set of 3 anymore. Sad! 😞

Yeah, we've since had second thoughts about this type of frivolous materialism. Unfortunately, living in the modern world is complicated, and there are so many temptations all around us. A "good deal" and an opportunity to take part in cultural celebrations often blinds us to the long-term implications of our choices. While we love the decorations, and have had a blast every time we've set them up since, I now really dislike the fact that remnants of them will one day outlive us... by centuries. So, all that to say, we understand (and appreciate) the critique.

@@BackToReality I didn't mean it as a judgment, i have bought useless crap in the past too. At the end of the day we should strive to do more good than harm to both others and the planet at large. I'm sorry but I really don't like self inflating decorations. Not only do they look really stupid laying on the lawn when not inflated but running the fan the whole time they are inflated wastes a lot of power.

I agree that the inflatables were not the most environmentally friendly choice. We have reconsidered the appropriateness of their purchase, in the years since this video was initially published. The aesthetics however, are in the eye of the beholder ;)
