To give you a background, these kids are the finalists in a singing contest and the smallest kid in white tops and did not participate was the winner. He wanted to but the host told him to rest his vocal cords (was sick due to the very long competition he has gone thru). Initially the host Vice Ganda asked the kids if they want to become actors and everyone said "Yes". So to test them with their acting abilities, he suggested that they do an acting performance where they will sing the song "Listen" as their dialogue. Initially, the 1st and the 3rd kids who sang was assigned to be the antagonists but later, the host realized that the appearance of the 1st kid would not be convincing to become a bully so he switched them. This time, the 1st kid is the one bullied by the 2nd one and the 3rd defended the 1st kid. So, this one was not really practiced. This was impromptu and the kids don't know when are they going to sing because the host just points to them in random as to who will sing. Quite amazing how the kids delivered as the host started to point at them in random and in a much faster pace. Congratulations kids!!!!!! We are so proud of you.

The kids are the finalists for the noontime show "Showtime". They were asked to do an on the spot skit where one acted as the villain, the other one was a protagonist and the other one was the antagonist. They did it by singing the song 'Listen'. The singing rendition was unrehearsed. It was just done as instructed by the host, Vice Ganda. The winner of this singing contest, Tawag ng Tamghalan was seen sitted wirh white polo. He was told not to jpin the group since he got a hoarse voice already from the comoetition. In the Philippines, there are many street kids or school kids alike with very good voices. Probably, it has something to do with the Filipino love to singing with our local karaoke.

Even if you guys didn't understand the language, you still understood the story of the scenario. It was a singing battle. Great observation.

The host "Vice Ganda" devised a game for the 3 singing sensations. He asked them to act out a scene. However, there was one caveat - they had to deliver their lines by singing! Vice chose Beyonce’s Listen as the song that they would use for the impromptu performance. Vice gave each of the kids a role to play. Keifer played the good guy, Francis played the bad guy, and Mackie played the good guy’s backup. Keifer went first. His good boy charms were on full display as he sang. Vice then gave the cue to Francis to go next. Francis played the role of the villain perfectly as he stared daggers into Keifer’s eyes. His intensity was definitely on point. Vice then prompted Mackie to interject. The little boy sang with a brash attitude that drove the audience wild.

The child singers were acting out a scene drawn by the host, making them argue with each other through a song. The host just randomly and spontaneously picked which child was to sing next. It was live and impromtu, thus all the three child singers were familiar with the song and could sing any part of it on cue. The host obviously drew up that scenario to test the versatility of the kids in adapting to any situation on the spot.
