Ghaetta is a 14th c. long form Medieval dance piece from Italy. The type of dance is known as an Istanpitta, and comes to us as a single voiced melody in a manuscript that can best be described as chicken scratch.
The instruments featured are 4 course (early) Medieval lute, Medieval Oud, goblet drum, and vielle played by David McCormick.
This was intended to take the place of a live concert performance, so all instrument performances in this video were done in a single take.
Thanks for watching!
