This song is basically about how we should not give up in life and trust in God. In the song, he starts out saying that even though he may be crying today, he's certain he's gonna laugh (smile) in the future. That even though he's going through hardships today, tomorrow is gonna come with ease. That God is well aware of everything going on with us, so we should have faith that things will get better. Also, he adds that if God can provide for an animal as huge as an elephant and not forget about providing for the tiny ant, that same God will not forget about our struggles in life. Finally, he mentions that God knew us before we were born, even while in our mothers wombs. Thus, He's very much aware of our fate/destiny and will surely provide a way out of our struggles or challenges.
