In this video we visit a car dealership in Accra Ghana to look at Cars one can use for taxi or personal use. We include the price, mileage and the year the car was manufactured. A lot of people recommend the Toyota Yaris so we look at three options.
This video will be helpful to anyone in the diaspora who wants to either buy a car in Accra Ghana or compare the market. It’s also helpful for people who want to start a business in Ghana and want some ideas with regards to how much it costs to buy a car in Ghana ( West Africa )

One thing I learnt as a mechanic is never pay too much attention to the outside features of a car...those are just cosmetics too fool you the buyer..pay special attention to the driver train, undercarriage like the brakes,suspension, links,and others..also before you buy a car ask for the service record, when was the last time the car engine oil was changed???automatic transmission fluid and filter....don't buy a car like you are buying bread over the counter..

It’s extremely demanding. But the work and pay option is better because the driver is working to pay off the car so they can keep it. This means they look after the car a lot more than usual

Please search for Technolservices Ghana on Google . They are located at spintex road , shell signed board and have these cars at much better offers under GHS30K with additional features such as push to start, touchscreen navigation, etc. They have over 10 years experience importing and selling Toyota Yaris for taxi use and are expecting a large stock late December 2020 and early January 2021. Thank me later

I was hoping you show us different types of cars.. Toyota Nissan Mazda Hyundai Kia Suzuki etc.. Even though it's all yaris it's the same model.. Please do another and look at different cars.. We can then make informed decisions. Thank you.

Please be extra vigilant out there, most of the cars shown u are Toyota Vitz mostly from Japan, they claim it's Toyota Yaris from Europe but it's a lie. Open ur eyes well well bcos there's almost 7K GHC difference with the price btw the 2 brands.

All of them are over priced. Note. 1.8 motors have a tendency to have a check engine light that when read with a scanner will say misfire, (which all in all leads to a head gasket)

Taxi business in Ghana will give you heart ♥️ attack, unless u driving the car yourself or u giving it to someone you trust, or work and pay off. , I have to sell all my taxi’s because after 6 months, the driver’s will start giving you stories and excuses, your car will always go to workshop. Real estate 🏡 like apartment rental is dope now.

You’re very right. I definitely prefer the work and pay method. You make your money back faster and they take better care of the car because they’re working to pay it off.

Goodness, these cars there where all completely overpriced! WAY to expensive.... For that amount of money you allmost get a ghana assembled VW car ( German Brand! ) BRANDNEW!

@@AkuaDimples Yeah, they tried to. They gave you a "white-man-price".... Lol. A Yaris car like those they showed you is about 21000 Cedis here in Germany, but transportation to Ghana is super expensive ( about 6500 Cedis ). But in Kumasi you can easily get one for about 30000 Cedis. Accra is just super expensive!!! Greetings from me and my Ghanian wife Afia!
