A recipe for Egg Tadka:
Boil moong dal and cholar dal together. The lentils are then mashed and spices are added including methi, mouri, jeera, onions, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, turmeric, Kashmiri mirch, coriander powder, jeera powder and salt.
Then fry eggs and add them to the lentil mixture. (Some people add rajma to the tadka)
Then temper butter in a separate pan with chopped raw lanka and garlic. Kashmiri mirch powder is added for color. This tadka is then poured over the dal and egg mixture .
Finally add the ground masala, which was prepared earlier with methi and mouri. Chopped coriander leaves and a little bit of sugar are also added.
