आप के दर्द भरी गीत सुनकर सूरीनाम का इतिहास जाना तब मुझे झकझोर कर रख दिया।हम रातभर बैचेन रहे।सुबह हरिनाम सकृतंन किये तब मुझे थोड़ा शांति मिली। भारत से दूर कठिनाइयों का सामना कर संघर्स से रास्ता बनाया ।यही खुशी की बात है।जय सूरीनाम जय भारत।

It's very touching song. Unfortunately many people from eastern UP and Bihar do not know the saga of sufferings of our people who migrated to colonies.

It's really melancholic and heart touching. I belong to the region in India which catered most of the girmitiya population. I would feel great to host any of the decendent willing to visit Benaras, Ghazipur, Azamgarh in Uttarpradesh free of cost. With regards and lots of love, Ashok Yadav

Dhanya Ho Ashok Yadav ji ....I am the 4th Generation Indian in Suriname, our family in India we have lost..thats very sad. In february 2020 i visited India for the first time, Happy to visit the Land of our ancestors,but very sad also,that we know we have families...Where to search... Kahan Dhoondhe..??? In 145 years so much has change..Gaon > Shaher Hogeya ( village has become Cities ) Humlogon ke Baap Daade Khoon behaaye is Desh mein..sooch kr ki kabhi parivaar se milenge Bharat me.....woh sab Sapna Rehgeya..... @@rajinderSarnamwala sir whenever i listen any song related to girmitiya tears come in my eyes.. mind just imagines in what adverse conditions our ancestors had left their family their motherland and went to the place which is actually saat samandar paar. In more than 150 years really much has changed but still the way you people have conserved the indian culture, any words of appreciation will be less. We wish you all the very best.may your culture live long.May our sarnami brothers and sisters touch new heights of progress and prosperity...

The feeling i had in India that we have family was to cry..but happy to touch the soil from where the parents of my Aadjee and Aadja came.It was i feeling a can not expres in writing......Lakta tha apna Desh aagaya hoon mein...When i was 11 years ,i remember talking to my Aadjee...abouth India , she could remember the village name of her parents ,Basti Jeela ( or Jilla ) and Basti Almora ( or Amora ) the 2 names i can remember as a young boy.

Way back in 2005 I met a friend from Surinam settled in Netherlands while pursuing higher studies there. He visited Azamgarh with family. Felt so satisfied and happy to facilitate his visit.

We settled here in 1860, and have become an integral part of the population, and top achievers in every field....but it's sad that whilst the British oppressed India, brought us to South Africa, then the apartheid system oppressed us, now we live in an apparent democracy....but the reality is that the oppression continues under the black government. Indians are stifled from progress in every possible way here in 2023. Laws are actually existing now, that prevent us from progressing. How sad...
